Why trade for Karlsson when your defense is already [in your opinion] so good and Stephan your 1st-line center?

As a Sens fans, I like seeing all these trade proposals, keeps the day interesting.

Too Risky for them the Coyotes though. While it would give them a very good defense, they have no way to know if Karlsson would re-sign. Lets be realistic, I think it unlikely he would.

One of the problems with trades like this...I know there are ways you can work around it, but for the Coyotes they have OEL already. Both OEL and Karlsson are great players, but they also skate a lot of PP minutes. It becomes difficult to use both to their full ability if they were on the same team together.

Obviously just having both is great, but realistically you end up spending market value for a guy while not utilizing him to the fullest. It is doable that they work together and they shoot opposite hands. Both like to roam around. It would make for great TV!

Just roll four lines of OEL and Karlsson. Flush the rest of the team down the toilet like a prom night dumpster baby. Their combined +/- would be about the same either way, and they might even win some games!

Karlsson wants out of Ottawa because the ownership is currently a gong show and the player budget is internally capped...and you think the solution is Arizona? Interesting.

Because if you have a chance to acquire a player of that calibre, you do it. Same reason Leafs got Tavares even though they already had very good 1c and 2c.
