Garrison to me is cheaper version of Russell. He might not block as many shots, but points wise he’s slightly higher than Rus. Might be an opportunity to dump some salary if Rus moves his NMC. I like Garrison at 1 year - $1 Mil

Chiasson is an insurance policy on RW if Yamamoto doesn’t have a good showing in preseason and gives us another buffer year. Chiasson being our 4RW means we keep a similar looking top 6 to last year and wherever PJ decides he’s going to fit into the fold.

Upshall is just coming to cheer on the kids. Liked him years ago, but I don’t foresee him making any meaningful impact on the ice.

I actually think he likes it.

There have been a few people pointing on the PTO number being higher lately. I don't know that I really care to be honest.

Lets go back in time;

Would you have rather signed Jussi Jokinen to a one year deal or tried him out at camp?

Would you have rather signed Johan Gustavsson to a one year deal or tried him out at camp?

Would you have rather ate a bucket of chicken and loss a leg or just let clouts eat the bucket and leave your leg alone?

This is a tool that more teams should be using. Heck I wouldn't be opposed to find out Steve Mason is coming in on a PTO or Joel Ward.

Well the trade itself seems about on par with what I'd expect OTT to get given all the factors.

SJ was already pegged as a top team in the division so I don't know that it hurts us that much.

At the end of the day Ottawa and Dorion let too much drama go on for far too long. Ruined a lot of guys returns and potentially others that are left.

Pageau is the real winner today
