Congrats to Joe Sakic on landing Jack Hughes. It’s almost assured at this point. Everyone knows Stone is gone, and Duchene wanted to “wait and see” with Karlsson/Stone...no way he stays now. Should’ve sent that 4th back and risked the lottery again with higher odds..

The main reason this deal is bad:

Dorion held out and decline multiple deals all summer because he was hellbent on getting Heiskanen from Dallas or Glass from Vegas. No one knows what offers were on the table, but I’m guessing they were better than SJ’s offer. I’m guessing tryin to tack Ryan on also hurt potential returns.

The Sens fan base deserves much better, no one should have to go through this shyte.
