Stone was named captain today. I was told a couple of weeks ago that Stone would not resign if Karlsson came back this year. But, I am firmly in the camp that the Sens need to keep adding picks and prospects.

I think Dorion is the assistant GM. I wouldn't be that shocked if Boucher gets fired and Melnyk steps behind the bench. Heck, Melnyk mansplained to the fan base how to build a successful hockey franchise. Surely he knows how to coach an NHL team as well.

Just when I thought Sens hit rock bottom... That bottom is endless it seems with the Sens.

Hitting bottom is an end in itself. It is a process that corrupts everything around it. It can still get worse. But we are so far in it is better to see it through to the darkest point. I don't think anyone holds any illusions about redemption being possible as long as Melnyk pretends to chart the direction of this organization.

Important not to get angry about this deal. Much more effective to be disappointed.

Not possible. All the mortgage debt is controlled by the people wanting to move the Sens downtown. Big public meetings coming up on LeBretton. Look for the Melnyk role to be redefined with the finalization of the public financing.

I wonder if the push to move Karrlsson was so his status would not be a distraction from the redevelopment agenda of the next few months?
