No matter how bad it gets, I will never go all in on this mentality. The Sens will always be my number one team.

But, the other teams I like may get more attention. I've been starting to really like the Bruins and Gaudreau. Pasternak and Gaudreau are fast becoming my two favorite players.

As I Leafs fan, I get it.

All the more power to you, my friend.

It's so good this is happening to Spats and Dopps.

Only those two mind you. I feel sorry for the rest of the fanbase

Hey! I am cool. This only gets solved by crash and burn. The individual transactions do not matter. This is a tear down as part of a corporate transition. It has everything to do with financing, nothing to do with hockey. The sooner the tear down is complete, the sooner we can get on with an ownership group that actually cares about the community and the team.

I don't blame you, but you'll be back once Melnyk is gone.
- Nucker101

Oh yeah. I certainly plan on it. The Jets is just an exile for me, so I can enjoy following hockey.

Is this a serious post? Sens are a lot of thing right now, fine is not one of them.

Destroy the value of an asset before you sell it....that's Melnyk's plan? that's how he became rich?

Oh my God - I just realized it:

You are still a Leafs fan.

This is just the most magnificent troll job on Sens fans.

You are the franking man, Spatso!

- Atomic Wedgie

I have always believed spatso and prock are the same person. And that that person is actually a Habs fan.

In 12 months the Sens have moved out over $35m. in player salaries and some of you are trying to pretend it something to do with bad hockey judgement. This has nothing to do with anything other than cutting player salaries to a minimum.

it's possible, but man they'd have to be really committed to the charade. Spatso is reading up on the latest building news like his life depends on it. Prock used to go on about fringe prospects the Leafs have and how they were just as good as other team's decent prospects, even back when the Leafs had a mediocre prospect pool.

Probably, but I guess they dropped out after the Pacioretty deal and then Dorion got desperate.

I would bet good money that Tampa was willing to offer a better deal since day 1, but clearly the Sens don't want to trade inside their own division, even for a better trade.

In this case the hockey judgement is entirely subordinate to the financial objectives. It is like people are pretending that Melnyk made a mistake. He made no mistake. He achieved his goals and left everyone else to debate details that are of minor concern to him. They did exactly what they wanted to do and everyone debating the merits of the trade misses the point.

Sens Gm's first comment on Norris was that he's Tkachuck's best friend. Seems they are really going on character here.

And then went on to say that he's highly touted by their scouts, and a good 2 way guy.

Also, that Balcers scored 23 goals in his first year in the AHL, which could be a good indicator.

I would guess Tampa needed for the Sens to take back some salary and that just is not going to happen.

The Sens had no desire to resign Karlsson. They asked him to complete a move list last February.

He despises the Leafs so by association he has to defend this trade

The Melnyk led consortium has won the bid to redevelop LeBretton. It involves immediate and adjacent projects running in excess of $7.0b for Melnyk's partners. Melnyk has to stay until the final project approvals are given.

This is flat out awful. You could argue that Karlsson is a top three player in the league. The dude single-handedly dragged a pretty bad Sens team to within a goal of the Stanley Cup Finals a couple of years ago

And now Dorion has flipped him for two fringe NHLers, one kinda decent prospect, one $hitty prospect, a late first rounder, and a second rounder. Good lord. This is reminiscent of the O'Reilly trade to St Louis. Except Karlsson is 8 billion times better

No Hertl? Doonskoi? Meier?

Pathetic

Melnyk isn't going away for a long time. So he says. How optimistic or confident are you with this management group to actually build a winner? The only very good trade Dorion did was getting good return for Brassard. He's (frank)ed up every other trade.

Sens will eventually get better I think, but when they get to the point where they stop making moves for the future and start making moves for a cup run is where they're going (frank) up again. That's if they haven't (frank)ed up before that.

I have zero. ZERO confidence in the group. Dorion and Melnyk are so full of poop when they start glowing over the moves they made when everyone else thinks they've broken 5 crack pipes by noon.
