Why Pasta with Krejci? Why break up the best first line in hockey? They tried this last year, and they broke that line up and put him with Bergy and Marchy for a reason: chemistry. I like Krejci, but his chemistry with players is fickle. Debrusk definitely works which is great news since it really doesn't seem like Krejci is going anywhere. Pasta with Krejci might sound good on paper, but that's where Donato/Bjork/Nash(or whatever else that 5 mil cap is burnin' in Donny's pocket) should be auditioned first. Pastrnak will be productive anywhere at this point imo, but he is most dangerous on the first line.

The main reason that it’s the best line in hockey is because all the other teams that have the talent spread it out. If Pittsburgh put A line of Kessel, Malkin and Crosby together, they would probably be better than our first line.

If Boston had broken up the first line against Tampa, there would have been a chance to win... Personally I would have put Riley in Bergeron’s spot.

Krejci isn’t fickle, the coaching staff has been. Since Lucic left he hasn’t had a consistent winger. Throwing Heinen or Bjork there isn’t respecting him. He already has Debrusk who is a kid and learning. Pastrnak will elevate that line and my guess would be bring 20 points more out of Krej and Debrusk. And throwing Donato or Bjork as a passenger with Bergeron and Marchand elevates a kid’s game without hindering the duo. Marchand and Bergeron don’t need Pasta. And Pasta doesn’t need them.
