Not sure about Garth, but I figured that was right around the long term price tag too. This is a bridge...those are less expensive fwiw.

I agree...lord knows, Garth has done plenty to get slapped around, but ANYONE that thought they were getting Reinhardt at less that 4 a year is lying...

I was shocked. Buffalo has a recent history of overpaying players. Eichel got 10M a year despite not having any leverage or cracking the 60 point a season barrier.

I still don't see Reinhart as an elite player. Drafted as a center but plays wing in the pros because he can't skate well enough. Clearly the Sabres see the same thing. He's closer to the 10 goal scorer than the 40 goal scorer that showed up during garbage time at end of the season. It looks like Botts might be a keeper

Nice attempt to change the narrative. Stop taking everything so personally about your boy Samson. The Sabres have the SAME doubts. They bridged the guy for a reason. The same reasons I pointed out earlier.

FYI...I wouldn't sign William Nylander to a big ticket, long term deal either. I think he's too soft to be an elite player. I guess I am hating on the Leafs too.
