very excited to watch that pairing of rasmus and Valimaki.
Also excited to see how Lindholm |

Steinberg just tweeted these lines:
Dube-Lindholm-Foo
Mangiapane-Ryan-Robinson
Klimchuk-Jankowski-Hathaway
Lomberg-Quine-Peluso
Giordano-Brodie
Hanifin-Hamonic
Valimaki-Andersson
Smith
Parsons
Here's hoping Dube/Mang and to a lesser extent Foo can continue to impress to bump Hath out of the lineup for opening night! |

I'm not saying he has been great, but I haven't been too upset with how Gillies' has been playing.
He's been making the saves he needs to make--I couldn't really blame him on most of the goals against that I've seen. |

Agree. I like what we've seen so far. Unfortunately he's waiver excempt making it easier to send him down. They're not going to risk losing Rittich, we all know how the 3 goalie roster works out. |

The Flames pre-season schedule had it on TSN3 this morning.
So I go to watch it and I see a blank screen with
" This program is not available in your area."
Which begs the question of exactly which area had the game. Edmonton? Toronto? China?
TSN lost the rights for how many years. And they have the chance to at least show the preseason games so what do they do?
F'ing retards.

Only preseason but goaltending is already a huge concern. |

Meh, not really. Smith is a veteran and will be ready to go once the season starts. Lundquist, Quick, Bobrovsky, Varlamov, Holtby, and Rinne all have GAAs well over 4 right now. Rittich has also been better than solid in back to back games now.
They were also icing a lineup that had the starting shortstop for the 48-49 Cubs. |

What does that even mean. It's the same deal the Flames have with Sportsnet. |

What it means is the Flames advertised on their website that the game would be shown on TSN3.
But it wasn't shown on TSN3.
TSN3 showed a message saying it was not available in my area (Calgary).
So presumably, somewhere the game was shown on TSN3 (presumably Winnipeg) but not in Calgary as advertised by the Flames.
It means I was pissed because I expected to watch the game and couldn't.
I guess it means the Flames are blacking out home games in the hopes that they'll sell more tickets to preseason games.
I thought blackouts were a thing of the past which pisses me off too.
So that's what it means.
Hope that helps you grasp my point. Sort of. Hope, that is. |

I'd be okay with that. I think Gillies has the better shot at becoming a starter out of he and Rittich. Give him all the starts in Stockton and let's see what he has.
If he's tearing it up down there & Rittich isn't cutting it then you can bring him up and hope that he plays with some confidence & consistency.
If they're both poopting the bed then I'm calling Toronto about one of there goalies. Pickard would be a good fit, I think he still has the potential to be a starter.
Maybe we end up getting 2 birds stoned and find our future starter and a serviceable backup
