True, but I wont lie, its nice to see Chabot has 5 points while EK has only 1.
-forbetterorWORSE

Plus, Karlsson is just playing really bad hockey. His only assist, he got on the OT goal, he last touched the puck about a minute before they scored. Basically wasn't even a part of the play.

Chabot has played a LOT better than Karlsson, so far this season.

Its only early, I like what I see thus far however... if they are still doing this in a month or so it will mean something.

I remember last season the sens either won or got a point in 10 of their first 11 games. Fans like Spatso trolled other fan bases hard over this. Then the rest of the season happened and reality set in.

Yeah I can't see the first 3 games being an indication of anything concrete moving forward, be great as an Isles fan however, but highly unlikely

Sharks have to many chefs in the kitchen (on defense) now so to speak. Might not work out as good as some people thought.

Montreal 93??? Depends on the context. Do you mean an underdog at the start of the year and not expected to even make playoffs. Or do you mean underdog when playoffs start or even the series start? Washington was kind of an underdog last year in the playoffs.

Yes, hopefully he can keep it going. I have no playoff dreams or anything, but its nice watching the kids compete and want to win.

How did it feel to lose to Ottawa and give up 5 and 6 goals in the past few games respectively? Leafs have zero defense and have literally become last years Islanders

That was the first team I thought of. I remember Edmonton being more of an underdog though, when they met in the final.

It is 3 games into the season.....relax.

Sure it sucks to lose to Ottawa. Sure it sucks giving up 7 goals. But it feels great watching Matthews lead the league in scoring. It feels great watching Rielly average 2 points a game. It feels great knowing OT means a W just about every time. These too, will not last.....just a great feeling 3 games into the season.

Everyone knows what the Leafs are...their strengths....their weaknesses. They have another 50+ games to play and sort that stuff out (be it through trades, system changes...whatever) before the playoffs happen. Until then we'll just enjoy the ride.

The Isles scored plenty of goals last year, and they will score plenty of goals without Tavares. If they can buy in to a new defensive concept, which so far all indications is that they are, they will be fine. I loved Tavares when he was here, but ultimately, he was the face of the Snow/Capuano/Weight Islanders. Barzal is the face of the new Islanders, and last year was their best player. Tavares leaving will work out for both side in the end. The Islanders have a new identity, and Tavares can play for his favorite team from when he was a child. The last few years was all about making him happy, and I think it took a toll on the team. With him gone, this team feels like a reset button has been pushed.

Not taking anything away from the Islanders, but sharks just lost thornton unexpectedly the night before and it was a matinee game. This is a clickbait title.

Isles have not had this type of coach in years. It makes a huge difference. Garth Snow never bothered to hire a good coach in all his years as GM.
- ses111

There's a reason he gave head coaching jobs ONLY to guys coming out of the A looking to make a name for themselves in the NHL. Garth was good at one thing and one thing only, and that was favors. There simply is no excuse for having control of a team for 12 years and never acquiring a legit NHL coach, or a franchise goaltender. The only reason to go the cheap route is to protect your own job. A real NHL coach would have taken issue with the roster, and roster decisions.

I love how every fan base resorts to this insult, if you even want to call it that. Like (frank) me, you totally just ruined my day and hopes of a cup in the near future.

Come up with something more clever next time and not the same recycled garbage.

- LeafGuy89

Stop being a pompous d bag then. You act like your team has actually won something in the last 40 years, 40 years bro and youre talking trash. Its people like you ( arrogent pompous) that make people hate the leafs. You're a joke

You know what ruined my day, being in the 416, and ordering 8 different slices at pizza pizza for the boys who were hungover, and watching the guy behind the counter stack each slice on top of the other. Where I come from you just grab a box.....but what do we know about pizza in new York?

Islanders will challenge for a top 3 spot if they get goaltending like last night. They will score more goals this year than last year. They don't need pajama boy to score goals. Glad he Is gone don't need him. Let him rot on this pathetic team that has done nothing.
