lot of talk about Nylander trade for a D-man.
the alternative (in 'Nylander will be traded' situation) would obviously be to trade him for another winger (or C that can play Wing as well). |

No it isn't.
They have enough scoring forwards.
The painfully obvious need is to get a defender.
Like stupidly obvious. |

still need a 2nd line LW. in particular if Nylander goes.
(if I remember well, you were strongly advocating for Leafs to go after E. "thug life" Kane..).
Only D worthwhile in a one-for-one for Nylander:
- Provorov
- Seth Jones
that's about it. |

I remember seeing people post that Nylander would be worried after seeing Ennis play against AHL/ECHL'ers.
...and I remember laughing. - Fakepartofme
Two things:
Nylander can't play like that going forward or he will be concussed sooner than later and secondly having watched Ennis or should I say Anus all year in Minnesota I could have told you he is garbage and brings nothing to the team in terms of value.
That being said Nylander makes the Leafs that much better but this will also give Kapanen a chance to steal his job. If Kappy works out I would shop Nylander for a top offensive dman and a young one and see what is offered. |

Chabot would do it too but nobody in their right mind would trade those dmen for Nylander, and Edmonton does not have anyone except Bouchard and he is still too unproven. Bouchard and a first maybe? |

As UFAs, sure, they can sign them. But trading Nylander for one? That's just a dumb waste of assets. |
|
|

They can just give him a signing bonus to make up for the lost pay.
So, if he signs for $6.5m he will get it all if they choose to go that route. - Garnie
I like your proposal much better. $6.5-$6.9 and get him signed. I really hope we keep him. |

I also like this better. Get two formidable top two lines set up with right parts. Panarim would be nice but hell he’ll want same and more then nylander |

that's my point - there is no good option available on D in a one-for-one for Nylander (bc Jones nor Provorov will be traded).
don't think Bouchard is anything thát good.
Chabot is good, but not the type of D-man Leafs need.
For example: would Leafs make a Larkin for Nylander deal?
Larkin would look awfully good on Matthews' left wing.. |

A bit off topic here, but do any of you have and use any free malware/anti-virus removal programs that are legit? My Laptop is acting like Garnies Laptop lately and I want to be able to stream the hockey games without them being somewhat glitchy. - LeafGuy89
Depends on the operating system you're using. Windows 10 built in AVMalware blocking is pretty decent, but not sue if it's as good (or even available) on earlier versions. I went about a year with no trouble at all. Add something like Malwarebytes, or Spybot search and destroy to clear out all the not-quite virus, but still nasty stuff, and you should be ok as long as you run regular scans.
If the laptop is just used for online stuff, scrap Windows entirely, and experiment with Linux. Any malware designed to mess with Windows, won't do a thing to it.
There's a bit of a learning curve, but some of the versions you can get now work better than Windows on older hardware.
I've been Windows free for 2 years now, and the only thing I can't run on it are games and MS Outlook. Machine is as quick as when I installed it, and I don't even use AV on it.
Like I said though, there's a learning curve... If you have an old laptopdesktop you don't use anymore, install on that till you get the hang of things.
Linux Mint and Ubuntu Mate are both pretty solid options, and close enough to Windows that you can find your way around without spending too much WTF time.
And they're free.... |
