Wishful thinking. Not even Chia is that stupid.

If there was ONE, it would be him. Issue is, there aren't any.

And as we say this... Bogo is back and leading stretch. Larry and Sobotka back as well.

Wouldn't even surprise me at this point.

Remember that first game he played here after the trade. He rushed the puck well, had like 15 hits in the game???

Me neither.

Dunked on Petterson last night. Literally just pushed him to the ice and scored in one motion.

Lebrun- if the Sabres traded ROR to Montreal for 3rd overall they would have taken Tkachuk

Ugh.

Besides "Pacioretty and 2 seconds," that was my least favorite scenario

I was going to edit that post to include him, he’s pretty forgettable.

Seems like there are a lot of high scoring games around the league this year. Am I wrong? (I know we are only 3/4 games in but still...) Was there a goalie equipment change that went into effect this year or something?

Is he though? At least during this early stretch?

Granted last year was HORRIFIC for him, and maybe that plays into putting the bar so low that any competency shown looks amazing for him.

But there haven't been glaring holes in his performance like last year this go round.

But we have 79 games to go.

Bowl u was terrible in the first game vs. The bruins

Bowl u had a great fight vs. The rangers. - important that he stood up to a tough guy, turned to the bench and let our guys know what happened in the fight. Bowl-u won

Bowl u - wasn't really noticeable in game 3 vs. Vegas. Which I guess is good, similiar to a o-lineman in football

Hey Gents,

Been out of the country and only able to watch highlights of the first 3 Sabres games...

What can you guys tell me honestly about how the team has looked on the ice in things that don't show up on the box score? I know people were criticizing them for not showing up for the Boston game but beating the reigning WC Champs handedily was a nice feather in the cap.

Casey? Tage? Skinner? Dahlin? Risto?

How the boys look?

Thanks

- JVince11

If it weren't for special teams, we'd be winless. Probably.

They still look a little jumpy but winning a couple in a row is going to do wonders for their confidence this early in the season.

Need to keep some lines together and develop chemistry. They were lucky to get the first 4 at home.

Game two yes... game 3 not at all. Knights had 2 penalties all game and they were both in the 1st period.

Passing in game 3 was unreal and 14 blocked shots.

We seem to get shafted on schedules each year, so we were due.

Last year and this year they reduced the length and size of equipment.

Eh, that first goal was on the PP and I'd argue if we didn't get that momentum, we would have sulked right through the game and lost 2-1

I don't agree with this at all. We have 3 PP goals, one PP goal against and one SH goal against. So a +1 in special teams goal differential. Of course you can argue momentum all you want, but that is only your opinion.

If any team is dependent on special teams right now I would look at the TMLs. You have Matthews on fire with 10 points and is a 0 +/-. Reilly also has 10 points but is a solid +2.

TML PP is 50%, Buf is 37.5%, league average is 21.27%.

The Sabres have too many forwards what do they do with Larsson when he is ready to play? Trade, waive? Don't send Thompson down, he is practicing on the 2nd PP today so not sure they will.

"I'm not getting into that," Bogosian said. "Everyone's going to speculate. Left side, right side, hip surgery, non-hip surgery. I was out and I'm making my way back.

"I'd like to get a few team practices in. I've been skating on my own, with Dennis Miller in the rehab skates. I'd like to get a few team practices in before I jump into the games. There are a lot of factors that go into it. Obviously, today was a step in the right direction, but I'm not ready to play again yet. Try to make sure we're being smart about it."

Moar like "not ready to play yet again"
