The "M" is for Modified. They're clauses within a player's NTC i.e. When the NTC kicks in or a player can submit a list of teams that they can't be traded to.

I'm guessing the Seattle expansion draft would take place after the 2019-2020 season.

Marleau's contract is done after to 2019-2020 so he won't need to be protected. The only three would automatically be on our protection list.

Mason might not be healthy enough to play but I'd take Lehtonen for free if Sparks poops the bed.

He played 37 games last year, he had a .912 SV% (career .912 SV%) and he's perfectly experienced enough to be a back-up.

Heres the thing. Leafs (frank)ed up letting JVR and Bozak walk for nothing.

So if the Leafs were smart they would trade Nylander for Karlsson so Karlsson can walk for notbing at the end of the year. Cant waste assets to win now, gotta think long term, thats why Nylander has to go.
