I read in the Canucks blog that Rielly had a performance bonus in his contract - if he scored 3 goals in the first 4 games, he got a $5 million bonus, which he was going to donate to a children's hospital.

Same. I had the option at the time of taking Rielly or gardiner and I took gardiner. I thought with a contract year he might put up some points.

Hate to break it to you, but they don't get much more legit than Freddy..

I think he finished 4th in vezina voting. Theres only about 10-12 actual legit #1's and Freddy is one. Be thankful for that because we went a decade without that luxury.

Our conversation was about the back up. I think Sparks will never be a good NHL goalie and wish we would have kept McIll or Pickard.

When nylander comes back I wonder if they put kadri on the 2nd pp. Put a natural centreman out to take the draws, plus he doesn’t seem to be doing much with marner, Matthews, and Tavares controlling the puck a lot.

Or they could maybe throw brown on the top powerplay unit as he can do the dirty work as well and is pretty good with the high tip. Then nylander and kadri go to the 2nd pp unit.

Yeah, something like that, because that PP2 unit looked AHL All-Star last night.

Just wanted to point out that on the Tavares goal where he tapped in the cross-crease pass, Matthews was standing right behind him - so if Tavares had let the puck go, Matthews would have had an easy tap in for a hat trick.

What more do you people need to see before you acknowledge the dressing room is split?

Too many weapons, such a good problem to have.

But yeah, Kadri and Nylander on PP2 and 3rd line together would be pretty special. Nylander likes to shoot though, so him and Kadri would need to learn to share.
