It just seemed bad in multiple ways. From the singing, to the lyrics, even calling Laine, "Greased Laine", is just weird... So they're saying he doesn't shower enough? He's greasy?

It's even worse than that old Leafs commercial from the 90's, that "Leafs are the best" song? And that sets a low bar.

They try it every 15-20 years. They were better off going with the real reason the Leafs are called the Leafs and gone with a WWI solider theme. Captain Maple Leaf. And even that would have sucked but at least made some sense.
