I knew all that it was going to take was to put Dale Weise back in the lineup.

Youse guys just don't want to listen.

Any reason as to why Konecny got only 11:17 of ice time? Thats lowest among forwards.

(Excluding Patrick)

He doesn't play PK.... Flyers were shorthanded 7 times.

He plays PP2 but PK1 gets the bulk of the time.... Flyers had 7 power plays.

He looked better in this one than he did in the Colorado game

Game Observations:

- Everyone wanted to see some emotion well I saw it. I saw Hakstol pissed on a couple penalty calls.

- I know he is a punching bag here most times but Lehtara showed me something. He's actually been playing good and last night he was physical and stood up for his teammates. Loved what i saw.

- Hagg has looked good. With Provorov struggling a little, Hagg needs to play solid. Love seeing him starting to engage more offensively.

- Laughton. Kid is bringing it. He plays like this then i have no problem with him moving up the lineup. He'll be even more important with Patrick going down.

- Nice to see Weise involved. But now he needs to do it multiple games.

- Will be interesting to see how the lines are configured if Patrick is out any time. I don't think Vorobyev moves from the 3rd line, and while Lehtara moved up last night I don't think I like it for any long term plan. Would Laughton move in between Konecny and Lindblom? But I am liking him on the wing. Weal by default? Not a fan. Will be interesting.

- 2-2. Tough game Saturday but have a feeling the Flyers will bring it for the fans.

Pretty much agree with all of this, and, all kidding aside, I hope Weise can prove me wrong but like you said he needs to show up for more than one game. My guess for the lines next game:

G-Coots-Jake
Lindblom-Laughton-Tk
Weal-Vorobyev-Simmonds
Raffl-Lehtera-Weise

What I’d prefer to see:

TK-Coots-Jake
Lindblom-Giroux-Simmonds
Laughton-Vorobyev-Aube-Kubel
Raffl-Lehtera-Weise

As much as I’d prefer to keep G on the wing, I think he’s the only healthy player on the roster besides Coots that can play center in the top 6. I’ve also had my fill of Weal and would rather see Aube-Kubel get a shot.

Thought Gudas looked good. He has impressed me so far. More 2017 Gudas than 2018 Gudas for sure. I do forget if it was him that failed to clear on the PK though
- YeunglingJagr

No doubt. Gudas is playing much better so far this season. Now we just need Provorov and MacDonald to get going. It was Sanheim who flubbed the clear.

Yeah. Not sure what they will do down the middle. i guess first we have to see how long Patrick is out.

Totally agree with Weal. I would waive him and bring up Aube-Kubel or Twarynski or even Bardreau. When Weise got a chance at least he showed. I didn't see a thing from Weal. i know he only got one game but sometimes that all you get to make an impression.

it's hard to judge this team from this game Ottawa is clearly a step down from San Jose

One thing I noted last year is that we played a lot of west teams early and really struggled. Once we started playing mostly east teams we went on an incredible run. I really think they struggle vs some of the bigger bodied west teams but can feast on the likes of ott, Montreal etc.

Tells me we're basically a bubble team like last year unless we get better tending and some kids improve.

Hope Patrick isn't badly hurt. He's been invisible so far this year.

I don't think that's accurate. He hasn't produced but he's been heavy on the forcheck. Has made some plays. they just have finished anything yet.

Your team sucks, just face the facts until you get a coach you are doomed, Ottawa is a mix of ahl, jr and a couple pros so don't get too excited.

Time to either trade Konecny or convince him to retire so he can get the mental help he needs.

We cant have a ruined useless shell of a young man on this team.

Last night was the only game so far I missed, and he's just not been that viisilble to me. Maybe I've seen him make a few good passes but he hasn't stood out in my view.

2 points but still sloppy and a lot of good scoring chances against. PK? Patrick out for how long? One positive I saw was that we didn't allow a shorty...

Tough stretch of games to open season. Hopefully we start to see improvement and guys stay healthy.

I would seriously prefer Patrick have a broken jaw over a concussion.

Hopefully it was just precautionary over anything else.

Provided he is not out for any extended period of time. Im not going to worry about Patrick, Konecny, or Provorov for that matter unless we are about ten games in and it hasn't righted itself.

I think they will all get it figured out.

Hak not a good bench coach, maybe worst in NHL. He may actually be better with players one on one in practice sessions. I trade A Mac with your hab’s Weber. A Mac look spent and he was already mediocre.

YAY we won!!!Still gave up 4 goals though. Mcdud looks like he did a few years ago. Soooooooo whos the number 1 pick this year in the draft? I honestly think we take a step back this year and might be a rough one.

"beat the team in front of you"....solid win guys. Following the Toronto plan. Just outscore everyone. I have no idea what the goaltending will turn out to be, but 93 sure came to play last night
