Anderson went from a goalie that has 1 good year, one bad year one good year and so on to 1 good game, 1 bad game, 1 good game.

Hey Trevor - Have a couple of shots and you will feel even better.
The team has drafted well since 2015 and has some good pieces. There are things to feel great about. Chabot is a stud and well on his way to being a top pair defenseman. Tkachuk was a solid pick at fourth overall whose contributions exceed his goals/ assists. Lajoie is the great surprise, with composure and ability to read the play that will make him a competent top 4 defenceman. There are other top 6 forward/ top 4 D players in Ottawa and Belleville.
But prepare to bottom out in the next 2 years after this one as goaltending is critical to team achievement and more veteran departures are likely at the deadline.
2021/22 will be the return to competing for a playoff spot. |

I think the wins are always fun when a team is in the first phase of rebuild. Right now the priority is on moving out assets that are not part of the long term plan, giving playing time and key roles to the kids.
Obviously, fans are pretty happy with the short term results.
Stone seems to have made the emotional adjustment and looks like he is having a great time on every shift. Not sure that Duchene has made the same kind of change in his mind set. Perhaps, moving Duchene sooner rather than later might be a more viable outcome.
It appears Melnyk is trying to hang on and fight a little longer. Better for fans to ignore the hyperbole and wait a final outcome in ownership. It actually works if you can separate the team and the players from the behaviour of ownership.
So far, I am pretty happy with what is happening on the ice. I was not a fan of the Tkachuck selection but, so far, he is proving to be a good player. He also appears to be a part of a very positive dressing room attitude.
Chabot....wow!
Finally, full credit to Trevor. Not easy to recognize the glimmer of light breaking through the darkness. So much easier to focus on the despair. Yes there will be more bad days. But this team is certainly moving in the right direction and we can find great joy even in small accomplishments. |

Yesterday Mrs. Spatso and I went to see "A Star is Born."
It is a raw, unfiltered depiction of addiction, siimultaneously beautiful and ugly, tender and violent, gentle and, yet, so very brutal and unforgiving.
Full marks to Bradley Cooper. He made you love the character but hate the disease. Lady Gaga is a star.
Let me know what you think of the movie. |

Havent watched Tkachuk yet. He seems like a player that would be fun to watch as he matures and grows into his size and role. |

He's only played 2 games so far, and in those 2 games he has 4 points and has managed to make both opposing teams HATE HIS GUTS.
Not bad for a 19 year old |

Hes played well as others have already said. He loves the front of the net and has created alot of offensive chances outside his 4 points. Reminds me of an old school power forward that can actually skate. Hopefully he can continue to develop. |

They were saying the lat night that Matt Tkachuck has drawn the most penalties of any player in some period of time. It might have been last season, or since he joined the league. Now , he also takes a lot of penalties, but hopefully Brady can channel some of that. |

I like the team effort. Every game so far. That makes it so much easier to take the bad with the good. |

Wish the Leafs had that type of player. Kadri sort of fits the bill but not in the same way. Players like Tkachuk are fun to watch and cheer for. |
