Eklund: Legalizing Cannabis in the NHL for Pain MUST be in NEW CBA Buzz@1 - Eklund
Just a point of clarification, EK:
Yesterday marked the legalization of recreational cannabis in Canada.
Medical cannabis in Canada has been more or less legal since 2000, when a court ruled Canadians had a constitutional right to use cannabis as a medicine.
Regulations in 2013 saw licensed commercial growers allowed to supply medical cannabis.
So for the sake of your blog, yesterday isn't particularly significant. |

so is coffee. so it comes down to what causes less harm. - hawken
I've been around weed for most of my life, and as an avid coffee fan, I judge caffeine to be more addictive than cannabis.
I've seen (and experienced) many people that desperately needed a coffee. I don't think I`ve ever seen someone that HAD to have a joint. I know I can easily go months without any and it doesn't bother me one bit.
Why do people continue smoking weed if it isn't addictive? The same reason people continue to do anything else, like eat cheese, or play video games, because they enjoy it. |

The NHL does not punish for a positive test for cannabis.
https://globalnews.ca/new...alization-hockey-bettman/ - Atomic Wedgie
Exactly. The NHL doesn't see it as a performance enhancing substance so, while they test for it, they don't suspend players (or even notify organizations) for a positive returned test.
Gare Joyce wrote an excellent piece about it for Sportsnet yesterday. If possible seek it out and read it, because it's pretty telling.
Some people out there think the use of Cannabis is already pretty widespread in the NHL already as it is; and I wouldn't say there's necessarily a problem with it.
If you think it's really bad, and an addictive drug, maybe go out and read some articles about it. It's not exactly as bad as you may assume. |

Find the image you want, then right click on it. In the options you get, pick "copy image address".
Then, when you're in the message area on HB, you can see an option at the bottom for image (Img). You need to click that button, then paste the location you copied, then click on the image option again, so it has "img" with brackets on both sides of the code. Then hit submit and it should be good.

(frank)ing idiots like you are the reason why governments lag behind by 30 or 40 years on some of the most common sense policies.
"I don't like it, so it must be bad!"
We need a new plague, starting with these idiots and the jackasses who pull into an intersection and block traffic because the light was green at the time. Imagine all the progress we could make if we didn't have to coddle these (frank)ing morons |
