Wasn't any worse than Charlie's hit on Johnny Hockey.
That said, give him 25 games just cause he didn't finish Backes off for good.

The way Benning has played a couple of the games so far, it might be a good thing if he was suspended, but not for that hit. Initially when I saw the hit live, I thought it could've been a penalty, but when you watch it in slow motion it looks more like Backes seen hime coming at the last minute and stopped up. Otherwise it would've been a shoulder to shoulder check.

Haha i was thinking the same thing. Coincidence that we got worked the first period and then Benning left with an injury and we play a solid two periods after that?

I don't think that's suspension worthy.

Bruins lose Kevan Miller

Kevan Miller left the game after blocking a shot and did not return.

So this is another reason I didn't want to lose the Lone Wolf, now if Miller misses any extended time your going to have to watch what other Teams do to the Core players (excluding #33 of course)

Hopefully he's ok

Chara would ragdoll if needed. We have decent depth on our PK players. I don't know if Accari or Wagner would step up. Just thinking of who our bigger bodies out there would be.

Wagner, Backes, and Kuraly are more able to stick up for their team.

I'm all for this. We've seen Kampfer before. He sucks.

I mean anyone can "stick up for their teammattes", we've seen Krug do it constantly. BUT someone like Kuraly or Wagner trying to do it and someone like McQuaid or Miller doing it........ obviously there is quite a bit of difference. not just Physically but Mentally on the other Bench too.

I can't disagree with you any more. Miller has stepped and improved how he moves the puck. So it's a win/win when he is healthy. This team still severely lacks secondary scoring and depends on the puck being moved from the D. That's not McQuaid's game and to continue to carry a one dimensional player at his price point, while blocking a talented kid, who could potentially give you more is foolish. That is exactly how you stay behind the rest of the league especially Tampa.

I get where you're coming from but the game has changed. Those types of guys aren't helpful anymore. They're a hindrance.
