We should, given we currently employ Joe Morrow, Dmitry Kulikov, and Ben Chiarot

His story is a well known one. He’s likely a very good NHL forward nowadays, but at the time he left, he had a lot of problems

Wow. Pettersson ...another 5 points tonight. Next coming of Gretzky.

Laine....great Finland trip. I just knew this trip would be what he needed to get the motors started. What a shot !

Petterson is now in the Connor McDavid camp of “so good I just get angry watching him play”

And Kovalchuk was the KHL superstar.....what else do you need to know about a minor league ?

Kovalchuk is still a top line player at 35. He scored 50 goals in a season in the NHL. He has 10 points in 12 games on the freakin Kings, and they can’t buy a goal this season

Ummmm....the reason for bringing Kovie back was to improve on their team scoring....but I am sure he has a good Corsi or some other useless stat that you can throw back into the conversation

KHL where old or bad NHL players go to die, or just make a pay check.

"Counting Numbers " - what is this ? Sesame Street ?

The KHL is exactly where old European players go to wind down their careers, and where North American players who are too old/or expensive for the AHL go to make some bucks. Look at the scoring leaders in the KHL - Dawes, Linus Omark (could not make the Oilers when they were really bad), Dan Sexton, Shirokov (both former Moose players long ago), Sekac, Grigorenko, Hartikainen, Lander....(all could not make it in the NHL). It's downright comical.

Dano will be there next year....he is a perfect fit for the K.

He scored 50 goals about 10-11 seasons ago. Thanks for the history lesson.

Counting stats simply refer to points, hits, plus/minus, etc. Things that are interesting to glance at, but don’t really tell you much. Basic stuff, for the casual fan.

You’re also listing players that would likely find success should they return now.
Dawes had personal issues.
Omark struggled under legendarily bad teams, but also can’t skate, so he probably wouldn’t translate well.
Sekac and Lander fit under the “good, but miscast” tag.
Grigorenko was doomed by his own hype, despite still being a solid NHLer.
Hartikainen and Sexton aren’t even a good examples, as the NHL numbers for both were decent.
Shirokov played an entire two whole seasons in North America before leaving, so he’s a non-example.

I’m sorry you feel the need to be dismissive towards something you clearly know nothing about

THEY ARE ALL ON THE BACK 9’S OF THEIR CAREERS. THEY AREN’T COMING BACK TO THE NHL.
