Trade Edler absolutely. He has value and even last season it was obvious we could survive without him.... but Tanev was tough to lose. There is endless smaller pieces to move.

I agree on the goal scoring and goals against. No one thinks 8 goals is sustainable and I expect to lose some goal production regardless but lets be honest here... defensive specialists Sutter, Beagle and Nilly available to give Markstrom a break here and there and I'd expect the goals against to clean up.

Scoring buckets of goals and giving up almost as many. That was success for the Leafs in many of your Leaf discussions.

If the Canucks can add a high-scoring top six winger and a 50 point defenceman they could probably outscore their defensive woes like the Leafs did last year, but they're not there.....yet.

Patience Lefty.

The lottery working against us, the Molasses Twins hanging around and a couple of Owner/GM mistakes dragged this out longer but it's coming together.

It is coming, this Pettersson kid changed everything, he really did. I loved that pick but I had no idea he was this good, obviously a lot of NHL and non-NHL people didn't either, he's a difference maker!

They still need more but there's a light at the end of the tunnel now, I just hope it's not a train coming

I'm sure there will be lots of rough patches along the way but we are building a core of game changers. EP, Boeser, Quinn probably, Horvat is elite in his role as leader and how he steps up to take over games.

Well holy hell that was fun to watch last night, Boston goaltending was soooo bad but it looked soooo good on them lol. Some of those goals and defensive coverage on both sides were just awful, but hey, it was entertaining!!!

I have no idea how the Canucks are scoring goals like this with guys who aren't skilled players, but whatever they're doin, it's working. Pettersson only had one assist last night.

Canucks are the new Vegas

Why are you pumping a 3 C’s tires? Swap Horvat for Bonino and nobody would notice

Yotes, Sharks and Oil all lost last night. They combined for the same amount of goals as the Canucks.
- boonerbuck

Canucks scored more goals last night vs Boston in one game than the entire 2011 SCF!!!

I’m just praying Jim/Aquilini don’t get any wild ideas and try to trade a prospect/pick for a winger or dman

if we are comparing the goal totals of the free agents in the summer, Beagle and Schaller both have 0 goals as well. (injury aside of course)

Rieder also has zero goals in 15 games so far lol

I’ve liked Roussel the best so far for sure

I like what Roussel brings, I like the way he plays, I just don't really think he is very good defensively. His line last night was the only line that looked hemmed in their own zone the most, and almost every shift.

Hopefully not – but I also can't a logic in it either. The team is playing well, and when you start getting players back off IR (Baer, Sutter, Beag), it should improve the team over the callups. Basically trades from within!

If they jettison some players at the TDL for picks, would be nice to see what Dahlen could do with some time up after spending the year in the AHL.

I don’t think they will sell anyone outside of MDZ though
