The Special Teams issue has been beaten to death, but I find your point on the shot attempts curious. I'm actually surprised they're ranked that low, because other than a few periods here and there where the Preds were on the defensive or clearly outplayed, I haven't had much of an issue with their shot output. I'm much more concerned with how many shots that are getting blocked, or how often the Preds just outright miss the net. Especially the former, the amount of blocked shots against this team in certain games has been downright ridiculous. (Also a large contributor to the lower shot on net totals) Kudos to other teams for giving up the body, but at some point, the Preds are going to have to adjust to how teams are defending them. They have to a degree, that's why they're winning and still finding ways to score, but the blocks shots are really hampering offensive zone time, and are also a key contributor to their struggles on the power play.

I would like to see a stat that shows time in the offensive zone compared to time in the D-Zone. There are times when it seem the ice is tilted and the Preds simply cannot get the puck out of the D-Zone.
