Edmonton gets to shred cap space, and finally gets the guy who rides shotgun with McDavid for the next 8 years.. But it wont come cheap.

Toronto gets to keep the current roster but greatly improves our fwd group and physical play. Nurse would be a nice player to trade later... I don't really want him long-term

Nylander would tack on another 20 pts for McDavid.. Instead of always creating plays Connor can let Nylander handle the puck more and just get open.

If the Oilers retained salary, it'd be alright. A few hits, a few fights, a few goals beside Tavares, it could be alright. But not at that current price.

He'd be a 4th liner probably battling for ice with guys like Leivo.. He wouldn't have scoring value, but not one would think about running Marner

I'm sure he would look good. McDavid and Matthews are similar in a sense that they don't need good wingers to put up points. Of all the guys who played with AM no one looked nearly as in-sync as BillNy... He's so sexy i just want him back

Buyouts, minors, trade, Lucic island? Who knows, maybe he could be serviceable.. The next CBA maybe the leafs could push for easier buyout options on bad contracts..
