I am huge fan of Batherson. But, I believe Formenton has a higher upside.

Don't forget, Formenton is more than 18 months younger than Batherson.

I had Formenton as my #1 prospect coming into camp. Batherson 2nd and Tkachuk 3rd. I was not a Tkachuck fan, thought he might be a bust.

Today I go Tkachuck, Formenton and Batherson.

Really pleased the Sens have called him up.

I'd be far more excited about Batherson's call-up if I wasn't relatively certain that he'll see like 7min of ice time alongside Pyatt.

That said, I'd say he has a higher offensive potential than Formenton... the more you watch him play, the more you appreciate his natural instincts and hands. This isn't to say that I don't like Formenton, but I just see more speed than natural offensive talent in his game.

Yeah, this is my concern too. I understand not wanting to overwhelm him, but I hope they give him someone decent to play with.

Ryan is FINALLY producing, why the hell would you move him out of the top six.

Good discussion point. Does Ryan play better when he plays against third line competition? He looks really good on power play.

Too bad, excited to see what he can do but think a whole year in the AHL would've been better. Ah well, looking forward to next game with Drake

Ryan has been starting games with Tierney and Boedker.
Batherson is an offensive talent. Why the hell would you want to put him on the third or fourth lines?

has he really?

I haven't seen many sens games on TV ( I'm at sea a lot and live in Halifax).....I just assumed he was playing in the top six.

if he's producing on the 3rd line, even better.

we'll actually have a damn good group of forwards when everyone is healthy

now if only we didn't have such an awful group of dmen (minus Chabot and Lajoie)

Ryan has 12 points in 18 games, 6 of which have come on the power play. With only 6 5-on-5 points in 18 games, Ryan's production has been rather Pageau-esque.

He’s on pace for 55-60 pts. That’s more than pages-esque. His career high is 43

He’s on pace for 27-30 points at 5 on 5. That’s Pageau-esque.
