Maybe the Isles were watching the Rangers Monday night and realized they are no easy team to climb over in the Metro and don't take Thursday for granted.

Last night looked like a game not to be decided in the late 3rd and Captain Lee was providing the leadership plus no shaky plays on D.

Islander goaltending hasn't been nearly as bad as the poop show in Philly.

Not to mention between Hextall and Snow they lead the league in goalies turned GMs.

I would like to see Panarin or Nylander wearing a Islander uniform. Would Leddy get either of those two as a return? The Red Wings have gone with a mostly rookie or young Defense but look at the turnaround they have made since the beginning of the year. We have two kids that should be up on D if we can land a stud with Leddy. Cant wait to see Ladd, Clutterbuck and Boychuk gone with kids in their place.

Islanders have done a very good job working with the personal the new management has inherited. Long season and battle for playoff spot could come down to last week or game of season for many teams. Looking forward the Islanders are in great hands with Scott Malkin and co owner Jon Ledecky as owners of this great storied franchise. That being said looks very bright ahead with all the great young talent. Throw in Lou and Barry plus a arena on Long Island the future is very bright and sunny !! Always Believe 😎

Trotz said there may be another lineup change besides the injuries. Waiting until tonight to finalize the lineup.
