I'd like to see him play RW - matt_ahrens
hmmmm - just saw someone on reddit say we should switch Gus with Kruger and see how that goes. Don't need Kruger at the dot like we used to, soooo |

Ok....Saad and Gus for Little Charlie ? - Hawkytalk
Not moving Saad. Pick any other forward not named Kane, Debrincat, Strome. Saad moves the puck in the right direction and plays the right way. |

I was being a bit facetious - commenting on how “bad” DeBrincat had been. - StLBravesFan
Gotcha and point taken, but sometimes stats are misleading.
Cat has in my view, been our feistiest and often most consistent player.
Love that kid and one of the few HITS our scouting staff can point to in the last 10 years.
He's on a garbage team right now too. Our D is ATROCIOUS so i don't hold many -stats against him alone.
Plus, his heart has been maybe the best on the whole team all year.

DeBrincat literally can’t make any more money. Comparing him or any other first or second year player to any player that has been in the league for 9 years and reading anything into it is just stupid. - John McDonough
My point being that Marcus Kruger is not needed on this team or any other NHL team any longer. The Debrincat insinuation was secondary.

Gus is the only guy who can hit a one-timer ... interesting.
Just hit the post. Guess he didn't like the pressbox. |

Kruger on a minimum deal isn’t bad. He is hard to play against and ends D shifts in the offensive zones. Can’t ask for much more from a fourth liner. |

What's stupid is letting your Bum Boy Bum Man fire the 2nd winningest coach of all time and hire some newbie that never won a single NHL game prior. That's F'N STUPID.

Great !!! And that's part of the reason we're a last place team. You stick with guys like Kruger and we'll continue to suck. He was launched 3 years ago making 3 Mil a year , but Q wanted him back to win an occasional FO for 2.7 ??
Not good management of CAP nor player personnel.

Thing about this lad is....his positional GSP to the cage is off the charts.
And he knows....just get the biscuit on net. Velocity is secondary.
Have a vision in the moment and fire. The NATURAL.

I’m fairly certain Dan Roan is related to the boom goes the dynamite guy. Seems like a nice dude but this broadcast is always brutal. |

the announcer said that only 12 Blackhawks players were with the team this time last year. I think that means:
Kane
Toews
Keith
Seabrook
Crawford
Saad
Kruger
AA
DeBrincat
Kampf
Rutta
Gustafsson
That means the new guys are:
Ward
Forsling
Manning
Davidson
Jokiharju
Kahun
Fortin
Hayden
Kunitz
Martinsen
Strome
Perlini
The good news is, aside from Ward, the new guys that are decent are all 23 years old and younger. (Not Kunitz, Martinsen, Manning, or Davidson.) |

What we haven’t seen is his accurate shot - he could put it where he wanted it to go on net. Recently, he wasn’t getting to his spots, and he was missing the net more than usual, or shooting it low into the goalie.
He had yet to learn how to adjust when opponents take away his preferred positions. |

There’s potential top D in the pipeline, there’s almost no top forward talent in the pipeline. Not selling our mid-20’s top line LW who is a great play driver. |

No specific trade rumors. Report:
Bowman wants JC to have some time to implement adjustments. Stan believes a run is still possible if Hawks near .500 at midseason. But Bowman will not hesitate to pull trigger on a major deal if it comes along. |

Add new head and assistant coaches on the bench mid-season and the confusion on the ice becomes more understandable.
