Simmonds would be amazing to add to a line with Kadri, I'd also like to see if we could pry Gudas as part of a package.

Not sure if Simmonds can play the left side but something like this would set us up nicely for a playoff run imo

Kadri’s deal is longer.

But at this point I think the Leafs want to keep their core....any TDL deal will involve picks prospects and players like Johnnson/Brown.

Those are three D I like from teams in the basement that have two years left on their deals.

Vatanen would obviously be a huge addition.

Gudas would be sweet as well but is a lesser player.

Pysyk would be a depth addition.

I would take him in a heart beat.

He has good fancy stats, plays tough and has a good cap hit.

It's all about timing. Maybe Lucas has to switch gears and write predictive game blogs in detail - then we can reflect after the fact with 20/20 hindsight in hand and roast him to the bitter end. Who wouldn't sign up for that?
