Matthews
Marner
Tavares
Nylander
Hyman

Kapanen/Kadri/Grundstrom

Rielly
Dermott
Sandin/Liljegren

Freddy

Right now, seems like Leafs would lose one of Kapanen/Kadri/Grundstrom/Dermott/Liljegren.
Lots of things still can happen though, in 2 and a half seasons roster will look quite a bit different than now.

I really hate expansion drafts.
Hopefully we lose Z
Not a problem for two -three years.
Who cares now.

I just realized Laine has 21 goals and only 3 assists.

Me and the boys were discussing this the other day over wobbly-pops:

Has there ever been a better Cy Young season for an NHLer?

Sadly, we couldn't figure out a way to look this one up.

I'm not sure I understand what this means?

Who's the better pitcher in the NHL?

You might be right.
I'm a big Hyman fan - so I think - and hope - he would be #5 on that list for sure.

Pitcher wins used to be a huge factor in voting for the cy young award in baseball
have a 21-3 record would win you the award based on that alone years ago.

its not like that anymore since they now see that wins is the worst stat for pitchers...also Degrom won this year with a 10-9 record

No sense in protecting a UFA. I'm sure the Leafs would have a gentleman's agreement with him that they'd sign him post-expansion draft.

I like him too, but I have Tavares/Kap/Kadri/Johnsson/Matthews/Marner/Nylander ahead of him right now.

Maybe one year:

1994-95 - 47 games, 34 goals, 9 assists.

My initial guess was Brett Hull, but surprisingly, he doesn't have any glaringly lopsided years.

So here's a weird question:

League mandates that you need to protect anyone with a NMC.

What if you gave everyone on your team a NMC?

You'd have to make some trades I guess. ( most have to give a 10 team list or something like that )

Then everyone on your team would have to be a UFA and your team would be old as (frank)?

Lol. It’s funny because Yzerman did that and now he’s not a GM anymore

They have 10 NTC and NMC on that team.

And people wonder why they couldn’t move out salary for Karlsonn?
