Again, the Blues have ZERO reasons to want to move him, especially now that Pietrangelo is on LTIR.

IF they were going to do that, it would only be in the context of a full on reboot--meaning guys like Schenn, Tarasenko--basically everyone except RoR, Thomas and Kyrou--would be in play as well. That is clearly not happening.

Maybe Parayko gets moved when Petro comes back. I doubt it, but it could happen. None of the teams mentioned are going to deal what the Blues' ask would be.

Gardiner is far from a throw in. 50 point D-men are in high demand. However, he is a UFA after this season and the Blues are now playing for the future so he would make no sense for them. The cost will be high though. I would imagine Kapanen would be a part of the ask along with a 1st and a top prospect.

I don't think the Blues are playing for the future. the season is likely a waste but there's too much there to be too futuristic. some bad luck, bad play, chemistry issues and the losses create a positive feedback loop making it difficult to move forward.

Pretty much agree with all of this. Thing is, how is this team so bad...is it even? Their black hole contracts aren't that bad compared to a lot I've seen, and the team isn't that old.

Being in St. Louis and watching him play up close Id be happy to see him go..and if the Blues get this expensive return then even better... kid got paid and began to fade...... there are those who are still waiting for him to use his size...keep waiting... his defensive lapses are a nightly occurence and his habit of laughing and having a good time on the bench while he and his teammates are losing is well observed in St. Louis.... perhaps with a real leader in the locker room maybe he regains some of the "potential" they paid him for...in reality he is currently an overpaid part of the problem in St. Louis..
