Hate to rain on your parade but that's completely false, I believe the Sabres have the best prospect pool in the league because of those picks and with their future picks they used a 2019 2nd, two 3rds 2019/20 (Cliff Pu) and a 2020 6th to acquire a top line player to play with Eichel and he's got 20 goals already this year in 29 games.

Plus they still have two or three first round picks for 2019! Their own and they own both St. Louis's and San Jose's.

Bottom line is they've done more than "absolutely nothing" with their many picks.

I like it right now. He’s not as smart as Goldy, but he plays a heavier game and is much better on the forecheck/getting pucks back/having a nose for the net. Give it 5 games, see if they keep it up and if Leivo can start to read EP and BB better

I saw Roussel give a nice pass to Virtanen so I assumed Horvat played with Virtanen and Roussel.

I will say I hope Goldobin puts up big numbers . I would love to trade him this year. I don't think he is great despite putting up decent numbers playing with EP

I eventually would like to see what Bo Jake and MacEwen look like but until then I would like Roussell Bo and Jake.

I want to see them draft Byram and fix this D. As I mentioned before that can open up trading OJ in a few years for a top 6 prospect. The puck movement on the back end stinks.

I prioritize D also but Lefty is correct that another true elite winger is also needed. So i will say BFA although its subjective. I’m high on Byram & it takes a special F to beat him out.

Just read on TSN that Carolina is looking for scoring forwards, and Anaheim left handed 2nd/3rd pairing D. Look like we have some suitors out there!

Sven when healthy is at a good price.
As for D thats a tough but possible.

He can stay until Sutter comes back. Go back and use what he has learned in the NHL to dominate 20 minutes a night in the AHL. Then come back at the TDL once Sutter is traded.

I’m not on the trade Sutter train. Never can have enough C’s & he can play wing as needed. Get an offer too good to pass on then sure.
