My guess would be Goldy to start, maybe a sort of rotation of the fringe guys. |

Just saw on the Canucks Twitter that Sven is with the team on the trip, but isn't skating today. So I think he's still a little ways away...

At some point you'd think a move will happen after he returns. |

Hawks rumoured to be interested in Gagner, if Canucks retain some salary. While getting something for Gagner (Ejdsell? Hillman?) would be a huge win, 'Nucks only have one more opportunity for salary retention...
Thoughts? |

No it won't. |

Yeah, I would too. Getting the Hawks 5th best prospect (Blake Hillman, Left D, 6'1"/ 180, 22 years old out of the NCAA) would be what I would be hoping for, perhaps that is a stretch. Maybe a 3rd round pick in the coming draft?

I love a good trade rumor as much as the next guy but here is the problem . They are an old team trying to shed salary and get prospects so Gagner doesn't fit . They also have 5 mil in cap space I don't see them wasting 3 of it on Gagner. I doubt he is on any teams wish list.
They have been rumored to go after Panarin next year so again Gagner gets in the way. We would have to take back one of their bad contracts too or hold salary but they definitely won't give up a young prospect. |

sadly, because this rumour seemed favourable to the 'nucks...I think you're right.
Seems more plausibly it would be Gagner for a worse contract + a low pick. Hawks would then try to pawn off Gagner for a replacement low pick or low price contract, and ultimately clear salary cap space.

If there is any truth it would be Gagner that he cleared waivers for a late round pick and hold salary

Scouts watching Goldobin maybe. No need for them to watch older vets like Gagner. |

I’m guessing JB has feelers out saying a few players could be had from us. Maybe a D & as you say Goldy or bottom 6 types for a PO run. I truly believe a trade or 2 could happen from now til the TDL. |
