Carol Schram: #ShotgunJake fuels late 3-2 comeback win for Canucks over Blue Jackets The Vancouver Canucks extended their winning streak to three games when Jake Virtanen's 10th goal of the year with 1:46 left in the third period gave the team a 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

My opinion is nothing? Well so is yours, go (frank) yourself. I watch the prospects play and I try to project what their future may be. I have my favourites and ones that I think were poor picks (Gadjovich for example). Pretty sure that’s what hockey buzz is for. A bunch of random people sharing their opinions on all things hockey.

Worst part about Gadjovich other than his poor skating is seems to shy away from physical contact. I somewhat agree on Lind as it’s hard to gauge his progress due to injuries

I didn't mean your opinion is nothing, i meant you're basing his improvement or lack-of on it and thats not accurate. In training camp he said his first 3 steps have improved and he talked about working on his lateral movements with his skating coach. He definitely has an awkward stride but he's not a bad skater and can keep pace with the play and doesn't look out of place. I think the physically play with come as he continues to gain trust and confidence from Cull. Hopefully he'll get some better line mates than Bancks and Woods.

Nice win for the boys, really like the never give up style they jave shown in most games.
I am a little concerned though, that they may end up playing themselves out of a top 10 pick.😁
Also, nice too see Elias going to the tough areas.

Thanks Carol.

@ brooks - saw this in the last blog: hope
You are right! Agreed that Gadj needs a chance higher in the lineup later in the year

If we don't win the draft lottery to pick Jack Hughes, you gotta think that a right shot defense would have to be the selection priority... but that's just my humble opinion

Only problem is all the good Right shot D were in the previous draft. Only Victor Soderstrom is rated highly so far and that's closer to 20oa.

Edit: You can add in Honka who some have rated in the first round, same size as Hughes without the wheels. His older brother Julius also a RHD for Dallas has struggled to find his mark in the NHL so far. So buyers beware.

pretty fortunate win, Columbus had more chances/zone time and the Canucks got a couple of nice bounces.

The first 2 periods were tedious and unexciting.
The third was fun and lucky.

Hey...don't take anything away from Jake...that was an outright snipe from the corner from an impossible angle to which the goalie had no chance on.

Plus Pettersson totally meant to score off his skate.

See it for what it is champ.

Crosby puts it over the goalies shoulder short side and we hear how amazing it is. Jake finds a hole lower and it's just lucky? (frank) that poop.

I feel like watching Canuck games is something you don't want to miss because of Petterson and Boeser. I find myself watching games even when I find out the result just to see what they create. I think that it's time to make Bo the captain of this team he is truly a leader and he has been great at pushing the team this season. His level of consistency has been fun to watch, as he continues to grow.

Dude...I like Jake but the Crosby goal was an outright snipe...unreal. JV's goal last night was a Ryan Miller special of the goalie not hugging the post on a weak wrister from the corner lol. cmon bro...

I've actually contemplated putting the Centre Ice package back on so I can watch Pettersson/Boeser...but the issues I've been having with Shaw the past three months make it tough to give them more cash...
