There once was a team from Philly
Who's mascot is quite silly
The had a nice lead in the third
but lost it by dropping a giant turd

That was pure Titanic level. Women and children first!

There's got to be a big roster shake up soon. Say what you will about a coach having to have them ready. Games don't unravel like that because of coaching. The parade of penalties in the third was 100% player stupidity.

How is Hakstol still employed at this point. Sanheim played 10 minutes tonight after he's consistently been one of the Flyers best defenseman all season while A Mac plays 20 plus minutes. Also Weise and A Mac both on in the final minute and both their errors ensure the game goes to OT. Weise misses the puck on the boards with like 14 seconds left and if he clears it they win the game. Then A Mac doesn't box out the player in front of the net when Calgary gets the shot off with seconds left and they score on the rebound to tie it. Those coaching decisions cost them the game tonight.

Nahh brah. It’s all the players. I truly look forward to the next home game.

This organization can keep testing the loyalty of the fanbase. Watch it burn.

Almost half of the third period on the PK. Neither plays on it.

Funny thing is they are still only 4 points out of the playoffs with games in hand on the teams in front of them and a bunch of divisional match ups left. They need to make a coaching change just to see how the players would play in a different system with different usage and a different lineup structure.

Nice to see the best players sitting at the start of OT. Again.

They'll be inconsistent still. This crap had happened since Lavy. The core needs an enema.

Nonetheless I'd rather have Sanheim out there in the last minute than A Mac. Or why not Gudas at least he'd clear the front of the net. All A Mac does is blow coverage after coverage he's (frank)ing garbage. No other competent coach in this league would have A Mac out in the last minute of a game let alone play him for 22 minutes. What the (frank) is Hakstol even doing.

Convinced they must've both double teamed Hak's wife with the ice time they're getting it's laughable. 🤣🤣

I didn’t even watch. I can’t go too much more than boxscore and highlights. People should boycott this poop. Insulting. This isn’t a contending team, nor is it a team trying to develop its youngsters.

It sucks.

But the coach put MacDonald and Weiss on the ice with less than a minute to play. That was his call, he has to own it.

Trust me if want them playing more but I knew this complaint was coming as soon as the parade started.

I wanted G, Jake, Ghost to start OT but that trio he used has won games before also. Hell Provy almost did tonight.

Let’s get realistic. Hak is step one. You’ve lost the season already, the confidence is absolutely destroyed. They as an organization have only themselves to blame for that, and really if you were that close to firing Hextall - you should have done it in the off season and not in the middle of the (frank)ing regular season.

At this point, I’m worried about long term damage and continued development for these kids. That’s all that matters.

I’ll laugh my ass off if they trade for a goalie to try and patch this.

Frankly, people should be angry.

Apathy is the last thing you want to set in as an organization.

It’s a really good thing that mean man Hextall isn’t micro managing him anymore.

Trade some of the core. Simmonds for a pick. Jake for Stone with whatever else to make it work.

G should not be centering two defensive black holes. JvR and TK are horrible on the defensive side. Put Coots with those two. Then G-Patrick-Stone unless you don't make that deal. Then it's G-Patrick-Jake. Kids on line 3. Raffl-pick a center-Weise on line 4.

As for goalie Stolie might have quieted that. Tonight wasn't on him. Hard to believe that looking at the scoreboard and his save pct. But he was very good tonight.

I agree Stolarz was far from the issue tonight he made some amazing saves if it wasn't for him the game could have gotten out of hand. Stolarz's size and the way he competes intrigues me I think he could be really good if they had a competent defence in front of him. I'm down for the Jake for Stone trade as well. Stone is good defensively and is a pure shooter this team has been lacking that type of player for years now. As much as I like Voracek his inconsistency from game to game and the fact that he constantly passes up shots when in the slot really drives me crazy. I don't want to trade him but he would bring back something the Flyers desperately need which is a shooter.

One thing that just slapped me over the head as I was typing that post. TK, Jake, Simmer... Dear God right wing is a black hole defensively.

I really hope this organization can start to compete for Cups in the next 2 seasons and beyond. Watching Giroux out there every night this season has been painful because you see how great of a player he is only to realize his talents are being wasted on a really bad team. One of my favourite players to ever wear a Flyers jersey and he's almost wasted his entire career playing for mediocre teams that's he's had to carry on his back. The guy deserves a Cup and a solid team around him.

Konecny will never be great defensively but he can hustle back and he is still a young player. He obviously is never going to be Couturier out there but he could become solid in his own zone eventually if he works at it, still a lot of time for him. Jake and Simmonds are terrible though lol. Simmonds is actually pretty terrible in every zone lately, the play literally dies on his stick when he touches the puck more often than not.
