Goaltending is mediocre-good with Varly and Grube, I dont know if it needs fixing, just consistancy would be nice. Curious on how much or if they offer Varly a new contract soon. He has been amazing at times, and fragile at others. It's not likely they will trade for a better goalie than we already have, teams just don't let go of solid goaltending. Quick might be the best available, but at 32 with 5 years left on a 5.8mil/yr contract, it is a gamble. Secondary scoring should be the new priority. Defence looks promising for the next few years, we will get Mikko signed no problem (lots of space) but I'd like to see the Avs go after a solid top 6 F. Hoping we can draft a good goalie and develop him soon, our window for deep playoff runs could open in the next couple years here. Good article as always Rick |
