To me this team likely won’t be contending for a cup during the next 2-3 years after this so they should all be available for the right price. Doesn’t have to be a fire sale where a decent player like Sutter is available for a late 3rd, I’d hang up if I was offered that.

Some people think that draft picks are like magical beans. I am all for first two round draft picks but until scouting gets better it is a crap shoot.

I really like this Leivo trade and I would like to see more trades like this. I am fine with moving pieces but for impact moves. I would be perfectly fine going every year into the draft with the 7 picks now.

I think the game changed for Vancouver when 7 minutes into the 3rd period Virtanen went hard on the forecheck and tried to throw a bit hit. After that, the pressure started.

They were really lacklustre through 2 periods. 12 shots and 10 hits. That's very sad.

I was hoping that Darryl Keeping was going to do the game last night. I thought the defence allowed Nashville to gain the zone far too often. Hutton and Gudbranson are generally pretty good at making the opposition dump the puck in.

For a couple of games. Hutton and Gubranson force the dump in but usually aren't very good at making the quick decision to get the puck out. Edler and Tanev are much better at that.

Kakko has been playing center for the last two games

Horvat is the team MVP.

No Offense to Pettersson, but Horvat's work load is 10X more than Pettersson.

I don't think i've seen them play a worse two periods of hockey this season. The score was not indicative of how bad Van was. Nashville was not much better than Van was. Nilsson made some really nice stops to keep the scoring from being 5 or 6 to 1 at the end of 2.

I agree the last two games they have been outplayed by very strong teams . Lots of work still to be done but they are growing

Good hockey game and better road trip after the long losing streak. Looking like a lottery team as everyone predicted. At least the entertainment level is up a few notches
