Yeah that wasn’t the Rangers team I had watched recently... good breakouts and hounded the puck all night. Ducks didn’t have any time to make plays.
And Hayes line was impressive.
You could see by the 3rd Ducks were toast.

Thought both teams played good defensively and limited each other to scoring chances. One of those games that could have gone either way. Thankfully it went ours since the last 2 games the Rangers played were frustrating as hell. |

I would have think long and hard about it. If I knew Hayes would come back and sign, obviously a no brainer. In lieu of that, don’t know, I would say 70-30 yes. |

Matt would probably due it after one last shared joint and lengthy makeout session.

So much was made about scratching Claesson. But just like Herb Brooks in Miracle, it's not about playing the best players, it's about playing the right players. Hands down, Claesson has been the individual bright spot on D over the past few weeks. But it's hard to argue results. Only allowing 15 shots is never a bad thing.
I'm not blaming Claesson for any of this. Rather just pointing out that sometimes, just sometimes, the coach might now how to shake things up in the right way and we don't need to over-react about lineups. |

he's played well enough to gain some value |

Of the older (not really that old) guys, I want to keep Hayes and Kreider through this rebuild (barring some can't refuse type offer). I think the team needs continuity while incorporating younger players, and I think those two are the best choices to stick around. I like Zibby, but I would rather move him if given the choice between him and Hayes.

So, kind of looking for something to do this weekend, so checked out the price of Maple Leafs/Rangers tickets. Holy poop, you think they were playing Game 7 of the Cup final up there with the price of those tickets.
Not to interested in dropping a poop ton of money to watch the Rangers get smashed. |

Pete welcome to team TPC/MDW - TPC
I am on board. Kreider is turning into a leader with the way he interacts with the team and to a lesser extent the fans. He deserves the C, IMO, and he should be here long term. And I like Hayes' game. Always have, but it's getting even better. I think the next three/four years are going to be Hayes' peak years.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I always joke around with Tom about Zib, but he is a decent player, and I would hope they are exploring trading him and re-signing Hayes |

Not sure if your feed had it, but when Chytil bumped the ducks goalie, Kreider leaned over to John Giannone between the benches and said "That wasn't goalie interference. I know what goalie interference is." |

Yeah, I got the Garden feed.
Kind of fun how this team is still is right in the thick of it. The standings are strange a win or losing streak either way could put you in solid playoff position or in bottom five position.

Yup. I don't expect them to be in it, but it does make the season a bit more fun to watch. If they were losing every game and out of a month ago, be pretty bad to watch.
As for Kreider. He has really stepped up. I don't know if he did it himself after the trades, or Quinn talked to him, but being a leader has kept him more engaged in the games this year. I'm not seeing the disappearing Kreider. Being paired with Hayes is helping too. |
