I expect one of the main guys (Not Dahlin obviously) traded at some point

just checked, zuccs comes in with a $4.5M cap-hit...I know it would be pro-rated, but that's still a big hit

McCabe is a cost-controlled pending rfa coming in at $1.6M...Scandella is @ $4.0M for another year after this

If they don't win on the trip at the end of the month it will force Botts hand imo.

Cap wise yes, but if they need impact players then no it wouldn't

With that being said, the players I would trade would only bring back a marginal return. So I would think of what else I could do this season to stay positive and continue to try and grow as a team and organization.

Botts can't just move picks and prospects at this point though

The Blue line is getting really crowded.

They need to move players out and bring more impact players in.

To get someone to take the "junk" off his hands Botts is going to have to make it worth their while, and by doing that he would lose ammo needed to acquire more impact players.

Moving Scandella would be great but you're moving him strictly as a cap dumb.

That 10 game winning streak could be a curse at this point. They had such a cushion and now it's gone. There could be pressure from above to make the playoffs this year.

if you dont want to make the playoff's sure... but right now they are 2 points from ninth place... if Boots waits until the end of Jan, we will be picking in the top 10.. which if that's the plan (and it sure looks like it is) fine.
