They didn't play poorly, they just took a lot of avoidable penalties.

Although I think the refs should loosen up a bit when it comes to Canada/Russia or Canada/USA - both squads can handle physical play.

Probably not the best all-star system if you have to have guys like rielly, Marner, and Andersen not selected. One could make the argument they have all been top 3 in the league at their positions.

Some good players are gonna get snubbed. But holy, not a good look when you see the names there instead. Price and howard, Kieth yandle. Loool.

You can’t take everyone, so pretty easily. They left off tons of good players. How do you leave off Rielly with his season? I think Barkov is more deserving then Yandle as far as Florida goes and that way you get Rielly in there.

If they want to be taken seriously, get rid of the team requirement. It's a participation ribbon. If your team is that bad you can't have a single player crack the roster, you don't deserve to be represented.

I understand why they want to be represented by everyone team, it is what it is. They threw Price and Howard in there just for requirements too. Can’t say I’ll lose sleep over it

It'll never be an all-star game until they drop it. It's the same deal with name power still having precedent. Brayden point is 7th in league scoring and takes a backseat to Stamkos (26th).

But you are right, I won't lose sleep over it either. I rarely watch it. Mostly due to this stuff.
