I actually think Helm's a pretty respectable third liner and PKer. He's certainly not straight up bad at even strength (like, say, Abdelkader or Glendening).
The problem is not that he's bad, but that he makes way too much money for what he actually provides (a very, very, very common pattern on this team). He's making about half a million north of the league average salary when he should be at least half a million south of it.
