Oh... well, hes a meathead!

I dont think Matthews and Marner will... but a team offering Kapanen 3.5-4 would probably get him and for a 2nd round pick no less! Leafs might trade his rights before it gets to that

- obie

Leafs could also match and trade him, or keep him... with compensation just a 2nd, leafs would for sure match.

I dont think they can trade him for an entire season if they match... someone correct me if I'm wrong, dont feel like looking it up

You could be right.

I know there are threats of offer sheets, but a part of me just thinks there is an unwritten rule between the GM fraternity that they just don't do it... would love to see a lot more of it, I just don't think we will thou.

I think we might, like I said, Kapanen makes a ton of sense, not sure the Leafs could afford to match 4 million for Kapanen

Maybe Bergevin will try his luck!

Kapanen would be a decent pick up but if the plan is to get a good RW this summer, i would throw my money at Mark Stone. The guy is as consistent as anybody despite playing for a dumpster fire of a team. He is 6’4 and will turn 27 yo i-dont-give-a-(frank)-when in 2019. Anyway, won’t happen 🤷🏻‍♂️

Stone or Panarin would be amazing pick ups for the Habs.

Unfortunately, I'm not convinced Panarin is interested and Stone is too ugly to play for the Habs according to Howard and Fred.

Gotta think Stone is gonna get 8+! Not saying I wouldn't do it... there's just something about Stone I really don't like, mind you that could change once he puts on a Habs jersey

He wanted to play in Montreal so he signed in Chicago?

Might not be the smartest guy.

Some big UFA's atm. I doubt the Sens keep both Stone and Duchene. Especially since Stone took the 1 year deal to get him to UFA and Duchene has said constantly that he wants to play in the playoffs. Something has to give.

Yea he did, he was set to meet with Bergevin but something about his team extending their playoff run and he had to cancel and eventually went to the Hawks

Hehe, i like him as a player anyway. And tbh, i prefer his style of play to Panarin’s. Sure Panarin is a little more skilled but Stone would compliment Domi and Drouin better. 6’4 guys that can skate, score and set-up plays while being defensively responsible are pretty rare eh?

Besides, i’m not sure Fred is that good looking of a guy...

Gotta look at the whole package. Not just the face.

I'll give you that the face is important, hence why Mark Stone is as ugly as it gets.
