I remember him being quite a bright light in an otherwise mediocre season for you guys. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Think he has a chance to get back on track?

Maple Leafs’ Frederik Andersen: ‘Rest can be a blessing in disguise’

No (frank)ing kidding...

You mean a goalie that plays too much, faces too many shots and is generally relied upon too much becomes overworked and gets injured?

What a revelation!

Get a back-up that can play 25-30 games for (frank) sakes.

They should get a big, beautiful backup. And make the Senators pay for it!

Be good to get Freddy healthy and back. Have to agree on a better backup for him, don't mind Hutch though, especially if he can rebound and find his game again. For now not a biggie, and prefer him over Sparks but...

Hutchinson is actually worse than Sparks. GAA over 4.00, SV% under .890.

5th league-wide in possession since Nylander and Matthews have been back, but getting .886 goaltending.

I was just thinking how hard it is to be a good NHL goalie. There's not even 31 really good NHL goalies. That's crazy.

Really good? No. But good? There's plenty.

Casey DeSmith in Pittsburgh has already played 25 games this year with impressive numbers (good numbers last year too). Cal Petersen and Jack Campbell in LA are interesting options too, both have good numbers despite playing for a last placed team. All three have proven they can put up good numbers in the NHL and also have future potential to be good back-ups who could play 20-30 games reasonably well.

Goalies are a weird commodity in sports. You'd think they'd go first overall more often because they are so valuable but they are less predictable than star forwards, it's (frank)ed up.

Definitely unpredictable but when there's NHL numbers to show what they can do in the big time, it gives you a better idea of what they can and can't do.

A guy like Casey DeSmith might never be a starter but the 25 games he's played this year would be perfect for the Leafs right now. Give Andersen less than 60 games and still gives you a goalie that can play back-to-backs and poopty teams and still get points.
