Don't get why eddy is out but oh well. Tarasenko on the 3rd line is fine by me cause as of right now, he belongs there. Saying that I don't expect much between that line.

(frank) the Islanders. LETS GO BLUES!!!

How does this Kostin come across to coaches? Does this attitude permeate all aspects of his game? What’s his role been in San Antonio? Has he earned any call up consideration?

If he comes up it will be for less than 11 games to remain exempt from expansion draft. Havent heard much about attitude other than he was pretty recluse last year.

Another disappointing game.

Concerns about Kostin is how does he play after a loss. Is he immature? I guess the new wave is social media. Personally I don't get it

Allen is terrible. Plain and simple. I was a supporter at the beginning of the season. Give him some time, I think I said. NO. Time is over. Get rid of him and his contract

Jake Allen needs to be moved away from this team. Then we will start to see what this team really is.

Until we have a new goalie, there are no expectations for this team, and the season feels wasted.

What an incredibly disappointing loss. That really says it all as far as how this season has gone.

30+ years watching this damn team, what do I have to show for it? A bloated liver, a knowing of depression and misery, and a gut. Thanks Blues. Thanks for the payback of being a lifelong fan

He's still finding his way. He'd probably do better productionwise at the NHL level but because of Seattle he needs to stay down the rest of the year.

Which is in part another argument for moving Tarasenko. So many pundits and other scribes argue against trading him because of my caveat--is his shoulder not all the way healed?

Well Carolina is desperate for offense and I believe you can get a solid dman, a good offensive young player and picks for Tarasenko. Cap relief, a dman that allows you to move a dman, prospects.

He's played well as of late. A few bad goals meh.

The Blues' game is improving but the hole they dug bc of goaltending like this early....
If Allen swoons again lol, at least a top three pick.

An interesting argumeny I have heard for not trading players if you are the Blues is the players' value is lower at this time.

I do not believe this is the case other than if say Tarasenko were top five in goals scored. If that were the case I could still argue, as I have in the past, such a move should be considered. At the same time, the fans would initially scream for having done so without consideration of the cap and asset management.

Usually the arguments go that Tarasenko likely will at least get back on track and his cap hit is cheap at 30+ goals a year.

It fails to consider a few things: 1) there appears to be an increasing number of 30 goal scorers.
2) There are statistical arguments that forwards prime years tend to be from 24-26, with a few exceptions. Note, exceptions.
3) upcoming expansion draft and protection lists.
4) what is the likelihood of where the Blues can finish. Is it a time to increase assets, insure lowering wins in order to maximize draft placement.

I think this team has some minor construction flaws, ran into some bad luck, that bad luck affected the team pysche and now they are struggling to relearn consistency, though apparently getting closer.
