Let him play down the stretch. Would probably be better for him to see how fast the game is at the end of the year. Exciting prospect tho!!!!

It's nice to actually have some prospects worth a damn for once.

Very exciting. They may be busts, but hopefully Q, Zacha, and Mcleod can all develop into what will hopefully be a quality bottom 6, but our high end talent is certainly lacking. I have no doubt that Ty Smith will walk straight into a top 4 role. His vision and speed is too dominant to ease him in on the bottom pairing. He is ready. As for Reilly Walsh, he is putting up great numbers, but 12 games in an ivy league school is not enough to tell me he is ready. Amazing how a small move like trading down (traded our 36th pick to Ottawa for the 42nd and 73rd, resulting in passing on Gabriel Gagne, and taking Blackwood and Joey Anderson) can bolster a prospect pool.

Zacha is already at least a shut down center man. Hopefully some he'll grow into more of the offense but what he is now is an NHL regular.

Q doesn't look like he has much going for him, and McLeod needs to start making strides soon because he doesn't look like he's trending in the right direction.

McLeod is an odd case, he certainly has all of the physical tools, fast, certainly not small, seems to have pretty good puck handling skills and a good defensive game. Just seems like he can’t put it all together.

Agree about all of those. I have hope Mcleod can put his skills together and be productive, at least in a bottom 6 role. As for Zacha, your bang on, and I know he has been used as our #2C this year, but it clearly is a task he is not up for. I could see him becoming a very good 3C and pk specialist. I just don't see that driving offensive instinct required for a top 6 center, and even in the OHL it seemed lacking.

Agreed, but just not sure if the "multiyear" was necessary/avoidable. By the end of next season, 1 playoff run in 5+ years is not a great look.
