Just shïtty ice - Thorny87
It never ends. It's like soup and it kills teams that love to pass, pass, pass. If I had a team of plugs, I would demand my ice be like this. |

I don’t like JJ either but that’s on Cullen to get the extra attacker - gravyboy33
On the goal after the PK? I didn’t blame him for the goal. I just said he sucks and he got outmuscled by Toews lol |

That goal was just in the whole PK as a unit. They have 2 or 3 chances to clear the zone and couldn’t. |

Look, the Pens won eight in a row, so this streak had to come to an end sometime, but it shouldn't be to a team they should beat. |

Not to mention they abandoned any structure and went full run-and-gun. |

Nah. Murray is just lucky that his team is collapsing and keeping shots to the outside or some garbage like that. |

JJ continues to play like ass game in and game out. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, a la Paul Martin's first season in Pittsburgh, but I can't do it any more. He sucks.
GMJR pulled the trigger on Ryan Reaves and traded him away to Vegas, how come he cannot own up to the boondoggle that is JJ? |

Reaves was a much more minor move. He was an expiring contract with a modest cap hit that Rutherford brought in on a draft day whim specifically to counter Tom Wilson. He didn't really do anything so we shipped him out to make room for Brassard.
Johnson, on the other hand, was much more calculated. Rutherford's interest in Johnson had leaked a month or so in advanced and Ruth got universally panned for it. Despite the negative blowback, Rutherford not only went ahead and signed him, he signed him to an absurd contract and then doubled down on it by saying Torts didn't know what he was doing when scratching Johnson. So not only is Johnson's contract unmovable, Rutherford has a lot of personal honor tied up in Johnson since he pretty much gave the fans, the media, and another NHL head coach the middle finger when signing him. Not the same as moving on from a minor acquisition. |

Paul Martin put up 24 points and was decent at driving possession and ended up as a positive goal differential (+5) at 5v5 his first season in Pittsburgh lol that’s a weird misconception/comparison. |

I remember a lot of people having misguided expectations of what Paul Martin was supposed to bring. |
