Sharks played a solid defensive game with a chunk of the D-men injured. Gotta give them credit for that.

Bolts had some bad bounces, Jones made some timely saves, and the Bolts were on the wrong end of three time zones and fatigue. They were ripe for the picking and the Sharks did it.

It was interesting to see Hedman and Karlsson on the ice together. Next season they will be skating together on the same team.

Arrogant? Maybe sometimes, but not about this. I am just feeding off the plentiful chum in the water.

1) Hedman and Karlsson are friends.

2) Hedman loves the Lightning and the city of Tampa and has preached it's praises to Karlsson.

3) Karlsson wants to win a Cup and Tampa is a solid contender.

4) Florida has a major taxation and cost of living edge over California.

5) Tampa was all-in on the Karlsson sweepstakes before he landed in San Jose.

6) If Karlsson was going to resign long-term with San Jose, it's likely he would have done it already.

7) Tampa has a deep-pocketed owner willing to spend spend spend - not only on payroll to the cap, but also facilities, staff, and perks.

If Karlsson turns out to be a rental for the Sharks, then a gambling man would put his money on Tampa.

Now, that's a lot of "IF's" - and I am not confident it's gonna happen, but I wouldn't be shocked either.

I think they would find a way to make it work. They wouldn't have made a serious run at him if they didn't think they could afford him.

Question is, regardless of whether we could fit him under the cap, should we?

I honestly think they gave up on Karlsson at the TDL and got McD instead.

I agree with this. Unless Karlsson decides to take way less then he is worth he will not be coming to Tampa in my opinion.
