He's had 28 points in 21 games under Hitch (from and including the 4-3 W over San Jose on Nov 20th) while he had 23 points in 20 games prior to that.

The overall issue seems to be that you're counting the November 20th game as under Todd when that was Hitch's first game. The totals are as follows:
