Most high end guys tend to shoot somewhere around 14-15%

Not sure having Lindholm, Tkachuk and Gaudreau all at around 18% is likely to continue.

Monahan is pretty close to where he should be though, which is pretty impressive.

Neal's a trainwreck.

Weird time for you to chime in there Bingo...

That first line is dynamic, there are no two ways about it. Lindholm is a perfect fit with Mony and Gaudreau. I'm sure that 1.2 ppg is not going to be the production every season, but even when teams know it's coming, they've been hard to stop.

Nah. Like I said, I'm happy for him. He seems a good fit. I don't think you're going to have 5 guys finish with over a point per game, though.

seems unheard of, but look at how many players over a point per game this season?
It's incredible...is it really the new goalie equipment? cause seems like the scoring is up by alot!

Might not, no, but I would happily see some of that production fall off if there are other guys picking up the slack.

I actually get a little concerned when I tune in to see that line accounting for 80+% of the offence every night. Backlund at .5 ppg isn't bad, but there is definitely a want for more (at least from me) out of the 2nd and 3rd lines outside of Chucky's production.

That's a fair point. The goalies all seem to be having kind of an off year.

Yeah, definitely need more out of Neal, Hathaway, Ryan, Etc.

Frolik is a bit scary because he's shooting 18% too, which... yikes.

I heard Peters was a coach that couldn't get scoring out of his top end talent, and it would be the same old coming over to calgary? If lindholm couldn't do it there with Peters, how would it be any different in Calgary? I heard we got fleeced in the trade too...

Just being a Richard. I'm truly as surprised as you are how everything has gone, so far it's been literally best case scenario for us, and close to worse case for you guys unfortunately. Ferland is just streaky, he has all the potential in the world, it's obviously just the mental game. And there has to be some truth about Dougie being kind of a douche, or there wouldn't be trade rumours again this soon.

Everybody around the organization has stressed that the Dougie thing has nothing to do with his personality or even his play.

He's been playing hurt since November, and apparently has only recently got back to 100%. It shows, because he's on a 4 game point streak with 5 points in that time.

The reason for the Hamilton rumours is that the Canes are looking to trade literally ANYBODY who is a RHD right now. They have to trade one because apparently Fox is willing to sign so long as there is a place for him to play in an NHL lineup. So if you have to trade a guy, and your D is exceptionally deep but you lack forward depth, you trade whatever player is going to get you the best forward in return.

The rumour isn't "The Canes are shopping Hamilton", the rumour is "The Canes will consider trading Hamilton for the right piece".

I trust in your in-depth knowledge of the canes organization, it just seems where there is smoke, there’s fire, but I trust you!

Makes sense too if he has been playing hurt, it would just add fuel to the rumour fire.

Even with RHD depth, Dougie might be expendable to fit in Fox? I guess if Fox pans out, he’s at least an affordable option for a while. You could still get a decent return for Dougie, albeit not the ransom we got, in hindsight.

Fox has exploded in NCAA this year. He's always been good but 21 points in 13 games is ridiculous. Canes have been sending Tim Gleason up to Harvard to work with him weekly.

I'm pretty sure we're just so desperate for another top 6 forward, and we have like 9 NHL capable defensemen, so it makes sense to trade one.

I heard Gleason was working with him too, it’s obviously paying huge dividends.

If Eks rumours have any clout, who would be a trade candidate from Montreal for Dougie (or any other available RHD)?

I'm not sure Montreal is a good fit. Anyone Carolina would want I don't think Montreal would want to give up.
