Well I'm being a Richard because it's only 10 million this year. 7 million the rest of the way.
- Aaron_85

He could get paid a billion bucks a year and I wouldn't give a poop. Only concerned with the cap hit

4 goals on 32 shots and only allowed 18 shots against and shutout the 2nd best offense in the league on the road. That's something the Leafs should be aspiring towards and it won't happen unless they fix their blueline.
- Unholy_Goalie

you're right - of course

how would Karlsson, who you yacked and yacked and yacked about for months fix this? help with this? of that's right... he won't

how will Pietrangelo help this ... doesn't seem to be helping St Louis 'get over the hump" as captain...

please tell us - just once - what you plan is to fix this ?

Unfortunately, he's going to have to start scoring before they can move him otherwise they'll be selling low on him. Unless they gave get a situation where they move him for Hamilton, he has to pick it up before they can move him for what he's really worth.
- Unholy_Goalie

As much I'm hating on him I doubt they sell low on him now. They can sell it's just the hold out bothering him and the xmas break.

I think a GM would pay for him considering you can point to two 61 point seasons.

Outshot 30-18 at home. Doesn't look like Nashville just played defense all night.

He can finally get his chance to show us he’s a top-6 forward.

Wait, we have too many of them. Trade him for Van Ryn.

Okay, honest assessment of the LEafs.

I think they are just at that midseason low point that many teams hit. Seem low energy. Give them a few weeks and they will wake up...

Earl would make Marner expendable. Trade him for Komisarek and Beauchemin, who Uggy said Burke had the right idea in bringing them in.

I missed the start of the game and the called back goal..I think they should have a rule. If the goal doesnt happen within 10 or 15 seconds then it's not reviewable.

This is the only comment that has made sense. Why aren’t you GM?

Because both keep the puck in the other zone. Pietrangelo is actually very good defensively too. Because they control the game, they get the puck, they make good decisions with it and they get their team out of their own zone and into the attacking zone. Watch the games and you'll understand how it works.

Nylander for Hamilton. Both sides benefit.

I’d also say it needs to conclusively be offside... that ice-level camera didn’t show that.

Game could have gone either way- score looks ugly but the Leafs hit a few posts, Matthews missed a wide open net, and probably should have had that goal that was called back.

Can't really argue too much with your ratings on the keeper and defence. I might have given Dermott a C. His game of late hasn't been too good. I'd give the coaching staff a C at best and the Management a D (the Nylander thing is a distaster). His market value has dropped substantially and he is significantly overpaid for what he brings to the team. He is showing to be more of a 4-5 mil player at best. Right now Nylander is barely a top 9 forward on his own team, never mind a top 10 paid player in the League this year. That is on Dubas.

First 1/2 we were, if you’d stop picking the ticks out of your fur and watch the game.

We doubled their scoring chances in the 1st 2 periods. Carry on though

Leafs played pretty well, Nylander karma biting him and Dubas at the moment

Willy will come back with a vengeance next year...He could be going through a Rielly-ish slump.
