the idea is there and i like it, but no way in hell that happens in the division.

98% of these offers are (frank)ing ridiculous.
To recap
Ottawa gives up stone, one of the beat wingers in the league
Other teams give up mediocre prospects, mid round picks, and cap dumps - sensarmy_11
Here was my offer from earlier in the post:
To Ott: Kylington, Dube, 3rd round pick 2019, conditional unprotected 1st in 2020 (The condition is if Stone resigns with Flames)
To Calg: Stone + 5th round pick 2019
This offer gives Ott two grade A prospects, one - Kylington is currently playing in the NHL and playing very well as a 21 year old - a top 4 D in the making - possibly top 2. The other - Dube - was the Flames best player coming out of training camp and is a 20 year old centre playing his first year of professional hockey who has been up & down between Calgary & Stockton (AHL). Dube is Captain material. Kylington skates like the wind and with Chabot gives Ottawa a pretty strong top 2 in the near future. Plus a 3rd round in 2019 - plus a 1st in 2020 if Calgary can resign Stone. I truly believe that this might be offering too much from Calgary's perspective, but there will be a bidding war for Stone & this is what I would be willing (reluctantly) to part with. I think it is more than fair. |

My offer would be, and this is for sh!ts and giggles. I don’t think LA would make this trade and I wouldn’t want to but, assuming he signs....
Toffoli, Anderson-Dolan, Brickley, 2019 1st (lottery protected) or else turns into 2020 1st.
For
Stone + 3rd 2019
Again, I wouldn’t want to trade all that just because the kings don’t need to be trading those kinds of prospects or picks right now. But that would probably be a similar offer OTT would want. |

More like
To Ottawa
Dillon Dube or Oliver Kylington
Juuso Valimaki
2019 1st
To Calgary
Mark Stone (8 x 7.625m)
2019 3rd
Stone is a 1st line player, captain written all over him, and one of the best 2-way forwards to ever play for the Sens (saying a lot with Hossa, Alfie, and Fisher) - AlfieisKing
No can do - Valimaki is untouchable.

a 2nd is reasonable but if you want to beat out other teams who all probably offer a 2nd, a first next year probably get's it done. that's based upon if he signs of course - Joetaylor0009

Better off waiting from the off-season than giving up futures IMO. - Rinosaur
Definitely don't want them giving up futures, but something centered around Voracek (provided we know Stone will sign here) would be reasonable, definitely don't want to give up our 1st this year or any high end prospects. |

Yeah. That’s definitely my way of thinking for the kings. Kings will be sellers, not buyers |

Bruins get:
Mark Stone
Sens get:
Backes
2019 1st round pick
2020 2nd round pick
Lauzon or JFK
Makes sense simply because the Sens want 1st round picks to help replace the big one that they lost. The 2nd round pick is Payment to take Backes. He will help with a veteran presence for the younger guys.
Stone will balance our top 6 forward group. |

The only issue with this is they don’t need offense. They need defense. |

I think the bruins will look more towards a player like Toffoli. He’s cheaper and can score 30G, had 24G last year, he’s just terrible this year lol

Not willing to trade Chabot.
He’s 21 and already one of the top dmen in the league.
Any team wanting a player like that, AND stone, will have to massively overpay.
What would the leafs want for Reilly. What would the jackets want for werenski? Chabot is better than both of them. |

Why are you trying to make the Leafs take Harpur? The guy has been a healthy scratch on one of the worst defenses in the NHL?
1 goal, 3 assists in 75 career NHL games. Turns 24 on Saturday.
He's... probably not an NHL player? |

I would suggest you check his stats again and get back to me.
He had 20 goals and 60 pts last year......in 58 games
This years he’s on pace for about 90 pts
Thanks for coming out - sensarmy_11
Ok. Sorry. What is the most points Stone has ever got in a season in his NHL career again? I can't seem to find his 80/90 point seasons anywhere? Can't even seem to find a 70 point season?
Or is your argument that the sens have been so bad for so long, that they bring his stats down. I could buy that argument. |

I like Toffoli. Not sure LA will move him for the same reason. Getting Stone with this deal would also mean moving Backes’ contract. Having Stone would also mean we have a top 6 forward group that can compete with the best in the League on both sides of the puck. |

Show me where he’s a “perennial 50 pt player). He’s been over 60 every year of his career except 1.....and he’s been a pig player the last 2 years (and 0.85 ppl over his career).
Over that time he’s also led the league in takeaways and been one of the best possession players in the league. If he was a center and took face offs he’d probably have 2-3 sellers trophies by now
Again, thanks for coming out |

I could see Columbus go after Duchene. They could easily give up:
2019 1st round pick
2020 2nd round pick
Dubinsky for cap reasons
Foudy
CBJ gets Duchene. He’d help give them enough skill to take on the Pens and Caps and finally make it out of round 1 of the playoffs. The mgmt could sell the potential to Duchene, Panarin and Bobrovsky to convince them to extend. Dubinsky going helps clear cap space to extend because Werenski needs a new deal too.
