More like

To Ottawa

Dillon Dube or Oliver Kylington
Juuso Valimaki
2019 1st

To Calgary

Mark Stone (8 x 7.625m)
2019 3rd

Stone is a 1st line player, captain written all over him, and one of the best 2-way forwards to ever play for the Sens (saying a lot with Hossa, Alfie, and Fisher)

- AlfieisKing

lol you wish...Kylington and Valimaki are both going to be top four defenders. They have been crazy good for their age

Flames wouldn't do Valimaki alone for rental Stone. Guy stepped right out of junior to take a regular shift on a first place team

Michael Stone
a 2nd
for
Mark Stone

or

Michael Frolik
a 2nd
for
Mark Stone

both offers might not be enough.

But Flames will let Stone walk after the season.
Don't want to spend too much on a rental.
Slot Stone in the 2nd or 3rd line.
Flames can go deep in the playoffs as long as goaltending can hold the fort.

Sens fans laughing at peoples trade offers should look at some past pending UFA trades your team has made...you probably would have scoffed at those too

Mark Stone is legit one of the best RWs in the league, but the Sens' artificial team cap hamstrings a lot of these deals. I don't see a world where Eugene gives Dorion the green light to bring in anybody over 30 with more than 3 years terms over 6M AV. Voracek, JVR, Neal (sub 6 but terrible production this year) - these contracts make Melnyk quaver at the possibility of taking on another Bobby Ryan deal. That means they want ELC rookies or young players locked into favorable long term contracts. Carolina and Colorado strike me as needing more depth @ RW. I have always thought the Avs might entertain the idea of flipping Ottawa back their 1st for Stone, but then Ottawa's management would get buried further in fan purgatory. So the Canes, then:

Ott
Stone

Carolina
Hamilton (why he's allegedly on the block is a mystery - I suspect he's not a great locker room presence, but when you're Ottawa, who cares?)
Kuokkanen

It's not a mystery.

He's available because all RHD on the Canes are available right now. They need to move a guy or two out to make room for Adam Fox, and they're so desperate for forward help that they'll trade whatever defenseman gets them the best forward in return.

Show me where he’s a “perennial 50 pt player). He’s been over 60 every year of his career except 1.....and he’s been a pig player the last 2 years (and 0.85 ppl over his career).

Over that time he’s also led the league in takeaways and been one of the best possession players in the league. If he was a center and took face offs he’d probably have 2-3 sellers trophies by now

Again, thanks for coming out

- sensarmy_11

That's is the garbage Stones agent is trying to sell gm's and why no one, including the sens, can sign him to an extension. Which is why he isn't worth as much as a deadline player. After six seasons, if you haven't hit close to 80 points, your not in the ppg echelon and wont get paid. This is why Stone needs to finish his year, try to stay healthy, and try to finish off one 80 point season before becoming a free agent. Then he can go after the big payday and someone will be stupid enough to give it to him.
Stone is likened to a guy like Scott Hartnell in his prime, not Alex Ovechkin. He is a great support player, but not a premier winger.

This is just dumb.

this is exactly why I cant fault senators fans for reaching way too far w their imaginations. it will be all for naught as Stone will be traded for more mediocre garbage.

they had a similar player in Hoffman and got fleeced in that trade.... then you go back to the well w the same team that screwed you and you get absolutely robbed when you were holding all the cards w one of the top 5 Dmen in Karlsson. so these wild predictions are all these Senators fans can wish and hope for because at the end of the day, their GM and Owner are completely incompetent to do their job

It’s cool man, you’re dumb and have no idea what you’re talking about. I get it, I’ll leave you alone now.

I thought I was having a conversation with someone who knew something about hockey......I was clearly mistaken.

Canes aren't going to do anything with goaltenders until they know what's happening with Bobrovsky.

Best as in most realistic in terms of value given and received, as well as being possible (as opposed to deals involving 17 players moving at the same time)

Sure, but it’s INFINITELY more realistic than:

Frolic and a 2nd for stone

Or

Brown and bracco for stone.

It’s realistic, as opposed to 95% of the offers which have been borderline retarded.

Respectfully I have not been impressed on how Dorion handled some trades, especially Hoffman and Karlsson, so if i'm a Sens fan, i'm not holding my breath that he will hit a homerun on Stone (or maybe Duschene).

Sorry i'm just playing the odds that he will screw this up.

My opinion is that he will trade duchene and dzingel and then overpay a bit for stone.
