Crazy overpayment for 2 rentals - obie
Yes, it’s a high price, but they should have enough cap room to re-sign Stone.
They definitely couldn’t re-sign both.

He’s a surefire top 4, and that’s underselling him. Definitely top pairing potential. But if Nashville really wants to tr-sign Josi long-term, I think Fabbro will look to free agency. I really dont think he’s going to want bottom paring minutes.
Trading him is the only sure fire way of definitely getting something for him. - Southstar
The guy has never played an NHL game and you're worried about him going to free agency? |

Nope and players don't usually resign at the trade deadline |

Quick, Muzzin & Toffoli for Stone, Kings sign him long term. - Kings fan since72
Deal.
and...if you'd like. We'll throw in Ceci if you agree to take Ryan's contract.
if not the original offer is more than fair

What do I need to make it both?
Dougie instead of Faulk? - BINGO!
Good question
I think it largely depends on the likelihood of them resigning wherever they go. I think Stone would take 8m, where Duchene might want 8.5m per season. I think Stone is worth that; Duchene is IF he played at the level he's playing this year, every year. Which IMO I don't think he will
Micheal Ferland
Dougie Hamilton
Julien Gauthier
Janne Kuokkanen

He’s in college. He could very potentially bolt for free agency, i.e. Jimmy Vesey. |

I'd do it.
Aho has played C all year. Svechnikov has been flipping between RW and LW depending on line mates.
Svechnikov - Aho - Stone
Teravainen - Duchene - Williams
Martinook - Staal - Necas
Foegele - Wallmark - McGinn

Remember - he's a rental - that's it!
To Ottawa from Toronto:
Connor Brown - serviceable 2nd or 3rd liner on an affordable deal (which we know Ottawa loves)
Jeremy Bracco - mid to high level prospect
2nd round pick - turns into a 1st if Toronto makes it to the Stanley Cup final

Am I missing something here, why trade Voracek - AlfieisKing
Yeah, if you’re not in Philly you’re missing every disgruntled fan blame Voracek for all the Flyers problems. All of a sudden he is not worth a bag of pucks. I thought being one of the top 20 scorers over the last 5 seasons was good, go figure. |

Edmonton Oilers get: Mark Stone
Ottawa Senators get: 2019 1st Rd Pick, Darnell Nurse, Jesse Puljujarvi, Andrej Sekera (For Money Reasons)
I don't think that's enough to get Mark Stone to be honest but that's the best the Oilers could offer up without creating even more holes in their roster haha |
